I want a real Native American to play Tonto...not some dude who claims he has some Native American blood somewhere...

The actor (Depp) has also surmised that he is part Native American, saying in 2011, "I guess I have some Native American [in me] somewhere down the line. My great-grandmother was quite a bit of Native American, she grew up Cherokee or maybe Creek Indian. Makes sense in terms of coming from Kentucky, which is rife with Cherokee and Creek."

Sorry, "I guess I have some" and "somewhere down the line" doesn't make you a Native American...lol.

Come on...this is bloody 2011 already...give an Indian role to a real Indian...it's not like they are taking over all the acting roles or something...lol.

I have two great Native American actors in mind who would make great Tonto's...

I forgot Armie Hammer was in the Social Network. He's kind`a young to be the Ranger no? Depp is older. That's going to stick out when they appear in character.

I still want to see what he looked like as Batman in the aborted Justice League movie froma few years ago . . . Hammer says he actually was rehearsing in costume, and has described the costume in interviews, but security was tight and even he's not sure if there are any pics of it.

Yes, he's young...but the dude is athletic and imposing...he obviously has the looks...good actor too...but he's still a tad bit unknown...however...a role like the Lone Ranger could potentially make him a star.
