Glad to see Disney's not totally forgetting their roots...I myself am getting a bit tired of computer animation and 3-D special effects...

BINGO! I’m pretty impressed that someone—and in this case a big someone—is bringing it down a notch and using appropriate tools/tech to tell the story.

Contrast that to The Smurfs… :(

From what I've seen Christopher Robin is a boy, as always. The girl was another character for that Disney Channel series where they solved mysteries in super hero suits. It was kind of odd for Pooh.

I loved those specials when they showed them on Sunday nights!

Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore, Owl, Kanga and Roo, Rabbit and of course Tigger!!!

Piglet though was a favorite of mine, because he was so sweet, and timid and gentle. You never heard a bad thought coming from him.

John Fiedler will always be Piglet to me.

My wife wants to go see this with our 3-year old daughter, but I think our 9-year old son will balk. Maybe me and him can sneak or 2nd Captain America screening in with this?

I remember watching the old TV specials narrated by Sebastian Cabot, while clutching my "Pooh Bear", and I'm glad it's done in the classic style. Is Christopher Robin still a girl in this movie?

John Cleese narrates this new one. He's very subdued (which works well) and sometimes even sounds a little like Cabot. it never really dawned on me if Christopher Robin was a boy or a girl. he/she looked just like he/she did in the old ones.

The story is similar in scope and theme to the older ones. I think you could easily show them back to back and they would all fit together well. Plus, Zooey Deschanel does a good job on the theme song.

my son use to love him, but now it's all about Mickey,Special agent oso,Handy manny and Jake and the neverland pirates....They stopped playing the Winnie a few months back

This looks like such a great movie. It's shocking how classic it looks.

My son was totally disinterested in the trailer this morning. No dinosaurs. I may have to go by myself.
