Yep, I watched it and enjoyed u. Watched the intro and was surprised I forgot about half the guys who were on the show. Didn't realize as a kid but I guess 50's nostalgia was pretty big at the time. I thought it was wild when Bowzer turned up later on or hosting game shows.

I watched it somewhat reluctantly as a kid, it was on at a weird time on Saturday nights here, I think 6pm when the other 10 channels had the news on.

Watched on Saturday nights on NBC in L.A. and later on Sunday mornings on KTLA as reruns back in late 70's and early 80's. Bowzer will always be my favorite. Had a friend that dressed up like him for Halloween and won the school contest.

The local affiliates didn't run it much around here, but I loved it when I could watch it...

The only thing I can recall was their "good bye" song. Didn't they sing "Goodnight sweetheart, well it's time to go. doo-doo-doo-doo-doo..." at the closing of each show? And Bowser would do the "doo-doo's".
Also don't forget they were the prom band in GREASE as Johnny Casino and the Gamblers.

Yes, 50's nostalgia was huge back then. I was in grade 12 in 1974 when Happy Days first aired and it was a big hit. The fifties nostalgia thing got big with American Graffiti which had been the big hit film the Summer of 1973. That year also saw Elton John's nostalgic Crocodile Rock hit the top 40.

Sha Na Na had been doing their Greaser Act since 1969, at Woodstock of all places... I think they were on the forefront of the greaser nostalgia wave which started small -- more of a send up, really, like this TV commercial featuring Mandy Patinkin as The 7-Up Greaser. Back then if you wanted to insult someone you called them a greaser.

I sure do remember...a real blast form the past. I know that it was very popular. Bowzer I remember the most.

If my memory serves me correctly I remember Bowzer had a short lived spin off show "Bowzer".
