Well...one thing are these newer smaller seats...they are only 17 inches wide...what the heck...I can't fit in those little things (policy is that not only your body...but your armrest must not protrude beyond 17 inches) ...I have not flown in years (since before my year long hospitalization in 2004)...I would have to pay for TWO seats...

Southwest is no good for me...I'd have to purchase two seats...




I have to investigate if AirTran is available from Oakland to LA...their business seat wide is 22 inches wides...now that would be more like it....but I wanna know how much that ticket costs...might be cheaper to just rent a car...but driving there...argh...I can't drive that long...I have neuropathy (nerve damage) on both my legs...

OK, I booked my flight, but just for 1 day. It occured to me that July 4th is that week, so people may not want to stay longer. However, if they do, I'll adjust my flight plan. Southwest has great fares right now. Jump on them before they're gone!

I need to see if i can scrape up enough cash--if i can sell some stuff to pay for the $500+ tix for me and my boys (not counting husband here). if I can make the cash, I'm so there Sandy. I already told my mom, but not my husband yet. I will see what he thinks because I think it would be cool to hang out.

July 2nd sounds great! But I was thinking of hanging out in So Cal a couple more days. I want to book my flight, but I would like to know if anyone else is planning on haing out in So Cal longer. Maybe we could get together and do something, maybe a picnic on the beach. What do you guys think?

I was thinking the same think then realized my b-day is on July 8th so I'm going to be spending it on the Oregon coast.
Would love to go as well since I have my parents and other family are down there in Hollywood and the Van Nuys. Need to visit soon.

No, she thought I was looking up flights to Florida as my company owns a house down there and I was talking to some of my classmates about holding a mini reunion there. So she thought I was looking into that. She has no desire to fly to CA as she hates flying and can barely make the flight to Florida.
