Ok...I found out that my round trip two seats with refundable option totals $700...I really don't like that number....especially for a meager one hour flight.

Really? Wow. I checked out flights from here in PA and Southwest was only around $400 - $500 round trip. And then the idiots are charging $700 from Oakland? Figure that one out

I just wanted to give you folks a heads-up...

I will be crashing this meet. I will appear outside the studio at roughly sunset, and I'll be in costume; watch for the guy built like Andre the Giant dressed as a Sleestak. I will remove the mask and enjoy 6-8 bottles of beer and several Camel smokes before crossing the highway and returning to the ocean. Photos are encouraged. Please do not shoot any firearms at me.

Well to me Saturday morning to Sunday afternoon is one day (or rather one night in a hotel), but when Sandy first posed this, I thought it was gonna be a few days like 3 or 4. When I say one day I mean one night in a hotel. Does that clear things up?

Lax is an hour away from Sandy.

Are you flying to LAX, OC...or LB?

There are 3 airports close to me. Orange County Airport, Long Beach Airport,and LAX. OC is closest at about 15-20 mins, LB is second closest at about 30-40 mins and LAX is an hour.

Regarding hotels, etc... There are several right on Beach blvd between the 405 freeway and PCH, which is about a 4-5 mile stretch. The more affordable ones are closer to the freeway and the ritzier, more expensive hotels are down by the beach. I will post up the names and locations later this week.

OK, I booked my flight, but just for 1 day. It occured to me that July 4th is that week, so people may not want to stay longer. However, if they do, I'll adjust my flight plan. Southwest has great fares right now. Jump on them before they're gone!

The heck with the 4th of July...I wanna stay through the weekend...I'm not going for just one day...I wanna go see the La Brea Tar Pits...

Just think how much fun you'll have. I can guaranty it'll be a mego lover's wet dream for sure. I'm gonna do some demos, there will be a raffle with mego prizes, a VERY special guest, the beach bonfire that night, and a goody bag packed with so much free swag, you'll need to buy 3 seats on your return flight because your goody bag will need its own seat.
