I've been listening to the Star Trek stories and I remember the words I heard in these stories I never heard before when I first heard them when I was young. Words like:
resonating
aficionado
levity
astute
kindred
analog
mostly coming from Spock. I'm just surprised that stories made for children have bigger words like these but that's cool as usually the impulse is to dumb down stuff for children.
