I have some autographed stuff. I only have interest in autographs I recieved from the source. Sounds like you are getting yours first hand too (just lots more than me). I don't understand collecting of autographed memorabilia purchased presigned. I always figured the point of getting an autograoh was evidence of a first person encounter with someone. Besides it is all but impossible to verify if the third party seller even has a legitimate item.
My favorite autographed item is a daredevil sketch that Lee Weeks did for more wife because she got jim a cup of coffe at a convention. The same con Roger stern drew a Superman emblem and signed it and a comic for us.E Gordon Gee signed my diploma from OSU.
PS I have paid for a few like Tim I got Yvonne's. I bought a book from ferrigno and he signed it, Gerard Christopher signed tapes i bought.
It was kinda of funny ,he troubles from his jail time started here in alabama. an much older friend of mine met him at his gas station back after he won the heisman. He was hanging out with a guy that was shadey for money problems and other " issues" I wanted to meet him in person and ask him about that guy...see his reaction. lol
I was heading to the Bama/LSU game until I pulled a thigh muscle. I've been doing the All-American thing with the BAMA players as well.
I still need Billy Cannon from LSU in my Heisman collection. He's a Doctor now there I beleive. charges like 25.00 to sign. I need to get two for my child now and my future child..lol
Yes, Billy Cannon is a dentist here in BR. You can get a mini-signed Cannon helmet off ebay for $50 all day long (and the helmet is $20 by itself). He has a few signed "Heisman 1959".
I have been wanting to go by his office to get an auto, but feel alittle funny.
Bama has alot more 1st Team All-Americans than LSU.
As for Jimmie Fox, look at the few signed cards by him on Ebay. There are alot of variants in the sigs (most likely some one else signed these items). These are autos cut from checks, etc.
I am debating whether to get Cannon to sign my 58 Sugar Bowl program (my aviator picture). It is mint, and would bring it down in value most likely. This is in better condition than any I have seen. It has only been open a few times.
Back when I was into sports cards, i was trying to put together all the 500 home run members. This was 10 years ago or so (before Mcguire). I think the last member was Eddie Murray at that time. I had about ten of the 16 members (Mantle being the oldest). The rarest auto from that group is Jamie Foxx. I understand he was pretty much illiterate and marked most stuff with an X.
I think it was him (I may be confussing him with another 500 HR member).
Lately, I been wanting to collecting LSU 1st Team All-American. I have a few, but not too many. I think there are 30-something members, with Dorsey, Clayton, and a few other recent grads being the newest.

Clarence I got a couple months ago for 5 dollars
He was what mego would call the munchkin general
It was sad to hear about his stroke
After that they found that he had cancer...
i stopped doing in the person graphing due to the over charging. With well of 5000 autographs now in all kinds of mediums , I like the odd ones now. I'm doing Dark Crystal, The Dirty Dozen , illustrators/cartoonists etc.
Like an example of odd for me is getting the 4 artists from the original Garbage Pail Kids cards. They are all living and love to sign. Some of my all time favorites that I will always enjoy are:
Charles Addams
Rankin/Bass
Charles Shultz
Anthony Perkins
Bob Kane
Jack Kirby
Stan Lee ( signs great TTM still , Mine was in person a few times)
Mister Rogers
$25 is exactly what Yvonne Craig charges at a show or at least she did three years ago when I got mine from her at the Adventure Con. Super nice lady. She usually goes to shows with her sister. Got hers and Julie Newmar. If you get the chance have a talk with Ms. Newmar, nice lady but wow is she out there!
I've got a complete set of the original Trek crew, as well as Mark Lenard as Sarek, Jane Wyatt as Amanda, and Grace Lee Whitney as Yeoman Rand.
Other than that, I've got a ton of wrestling autographs that I'd have to have in front of me to list properly.
By the way - if anybody's in Mexico and could hook me up with any CMLL autographs, shoot me a PM. I'd love to get some of those guys to sign and have exactly zero opportunity to where I am.
I have fun seeing what I can get via mail. I make sure the ones I go after are "true signers"
So far I have
Debbie Reynolds
Dick Van Dyke
Ernest Borgnine ...how ever you spell his name
Clayton Moore (the lone Ranger) got that one about 2 months before he passed away.
Jeremy Bullock ... guy in the boba fett suit from ESB and ROTJ.
James Earl Jones
Lynda Carter took 7 years for it to come back but it came lol
Jennifer Love Hewitt from a radio station from when she was pimping her last album
I just got a nice Alan Rickman back, I bought a nice publicity shot of him from Quigly Down Under, I'm real happy with getting this one.
and I just sent in $25 to get a Yvonne Craig from her web site. I figure with the cost of a nice 8x10 photo going for $10 and paying shipping for to them and back is about $4 each way and knowing it's real the price she charges seems way more than fair I can't wait for it to show up
