-none of Haim's movies were intentional repeat viewers for me---at least
    Feldman had GREMLINS.

But even AFTER the "Corey Hey Days" at least I HEARD about
Feldman's struggle in the "news"...I saw him at a comicbook show with
a hot GF who may now be his wife...he seemed to be pretty centered
and visible despite his drug problems, etc.

Haim on the other hand? I had not much heard from in "the news"
    since back when.

To me..."Less Visible (than Feldman)" plus "Drug Problem" = "Sooner To Die" (than Feldman)

    RIP
Haim was doing conventions as well, Feldman was just a little more active on tv and stuff .... but it's still sad

Not true... There was the "Two Coreys" show on (I think) VH-1....
Yeah my wife reminded me of that. I forget sometimes that everyone has had a reality show.

Do pain killers and/or slepping pills count as an opiate?
Is that what he died from?

Bummer. I liked him in the 80's, before the drugs. He had a cool charm to his persona in films like Lost Boys and License to Drive. Never could straighten it back up. Sad.

38 is too young, but when you're doing drugs this is the risk you take

    Wow,truly sad.
He was the same age as myself...38 is to young to die.
I enjoyed several of his movies.
A really wasted life in my opinion.

A crying shame indeed. In one sense, it's no surprise to me that he would end up this way. He's another Hollywood Has Been who got strung out on drugs.

I did not see the Lost Boys. I did however, enjoy one movie he starred in with Corey Feldman as his worldly buddy and the hot Heather Graham as his love interest. I think it was called License to Drive. I was around the age where it was time for me to either learn how to drive or it may have been when I was learning and it was time to get into driver's ed and get my license. That was a great, funny movie and I wish it were out on DVD. Who knows? Maybe someone will release it sometime soon.
    R.I.P. Corey.

Didn't he have a kid with Ginger Lynn Allen? I don't think anyone ever admitted it was his kid, but you could read between the lines on her E Hollywood True Story episode.
