A shock yet not a shock at the same time.
He seemed to really want to beat his demons (The Two Coreys tv show) yet you could tell he was still haunted by them.
A shame because he was a talented actor who threw it all away (like so many others).
I was rooting for him to get himself back in the spotlight and clean himself up. Too bad he didn't make it.

That island movie is hard to watch.... other than her nude body, I mean.
Fast Times is awesome and and I'm kinda embarassed that that's not one
of my big "repeat watchers"....it certainly used to be and will be again, I'm sure.
"Doesn't anybody KNOCK anymore?!"
Aw yeah Mogwai!Leave a comment:

The only thing that worries me about you is watching and re watching one of the few movies with Phoebe Cates where she keeps her clothes on
P.S. I like Gremlins too.Leave a comment:

Believe it or not about 40 other movies fall into that category.
I'm a hardcore REPEAT WATCHER and I also use movies as "background"
when doing stuff around my apartment.Leave a comment:

You watch Gremlins three time a month???
You seriously need some sort of therapy...my friend...

I really love the movie.
Feldman's character has a pivotal role in the movie. His character is
the first to cause the Mogwai to multiply.
I also find it hilarious that his dad makes him dress up as a pinetree
every Christmas...that's something that's further looked at in the novel
and deleted scenes.
You know, Hec, I find something TOTALLY ironic about you...
...for all the "hell" you give celebrities, you sure seem to "feed the machine"
a lot with your cynicism and frustration over their place in society...
IMO it perpetuates the whole celeb "thing"... fueling that "gossip"
that makes all celebrities "special" (ahem) in the first place.Leave a comment:

I only take them as seriously as I embrace their work....Feldman had
GREMLINS and, as I was reminded here in this thread...STAND BY ME.
I never got into any of Haim's stuff. Nothing against him personally.
The movies he was in just never stuck with me.
And it's not like I'm in love with Feldman's acting talent...it's just he did a
passable job in two movies I really liked...particularly GREMLINS which was
a small (but pivotal) role.
Whe I think of Gremlins...the last thing that crosses my mind is Feldman...lol.
That doesn't hide the fact that the dude is one big ******bag...

Feldman still does his stupid and silly Michael Jackson shtick...just for that...he should be thrown off a cliff...

He also just came on Larry King tonight...and he had the most pretentious and ridiculous hairstyle known to man...you can't take a dude seriously with stuff like that...

I think Feldman's legacy is a little more in tact because of "Stand By Me" and "The Goonies". He worked more consistently in smaller rolls, like in "The 'Burbs" too. Haim's film career never had hits on that level. He had problems getting work due to his reputation, got fired off a couple of jobs, and lived back in Toronto for a while because he had some tax trouble or something, made it hard for him to maintain his work visa. That's around the time I knew him. I think he briefly worked part-time at a record store too, which is why I totally buy that he had applied for work at a health food store. Actually, a friend of mine helped him with his resume for a bit, but he got a couple of small Hollywood acting gigs and they were willing to help him with his work visa or green card or whatever, so I think he was able to move back to California. I firmly believe that he had his chances again and again.Last edited by Brazoo; Mar 10, '10, 9:43 PM.Leave a comment:

when they were Kids ...
both just a few yrs older than me BTW ...
With the Media, I coulda Sworn Feldman was always covered doing bad stuff, and getting introuble, and Haim was like the Clean Cut one. I am more so talking in the Hight of thier Fame of Teen Idols. So I can Kinda see what everyone is saying. ..., Feldman cleaned his act up a ton more, and Haim obviously just didn't know when to quit.
As far as THE comment about Hollywood somewhat Awarding these Young Drug Addicts Death with all the Nonstop Coverage of these Cercumstances of Tragedy ..., really look No further than Ledger. IMO ..., because he had Past due to a Drug overdose ..., that Oscar shoulda been on Downey jr.'s Shelf.Leave a comment:
