I was pleasantly surprised and really enjoyed the movie. It's packed full of social commentary AND spiritualism which some people may or may not connect with and as corny as it sounds i have to admit I walked out of there feeling a little more enlightened. I believe James Cameron did a spectacular job with every aspect and theme of this movie and Avatar will definitely go down as one of his best works. For those of you who have not seen it go check it out and enjoy the ride. Visually it's breath taking at time but if you pay attention and look past all the pretty colors you might get a little more out of it.

    I would rather have Avatar.

That was what I did not like about TITANIC...it was "icky" mainstream.
We'll see how this one fares for me

Stunning visual effects - in 3D - that almost more than makes up for a more familiar story.

and it really succeeds on most levels, despite a run time of over 2.5 hours.

The alien world and language are unique enough, but still rooted in what we can understand, so the learning curve to immerse yourself as easy as opening your mind and imagination.
