I watchet Hit Man on NFLX last night. It's fine. It's generally fun, but a little predictable. I'll give it a B/B+. I just expected to like it a little more, as I did Accident Man, Miss Meadows, and Mr. Right. -
Boyfriend and I just finished watching: Netflix Under Paris
Summer 2024. Paris is hosting the World Triathlon Championships on the Seine for the first time. Sophia, a brilliant scientist, learns from Mika, a young environmental activist, that a large shark is swimming deep in the river. To avoid a bloodbath at the heart of the city, they have no choice but to join forces with Adil, the Seine river police commander.
This was the dubbed voices so you do not have to read the movie. What can I say, its man vs shark but in Paris. Cuddle up with your loved one and just forgot the day and watch silly people get eaten by sharks.

This afternoon Boyfriend & I went to watch The Watchers at 3:30pm but got stuck waiting for the train to pass. So, we so Bad Boys Ride Or Die at 4pm and had dinner and after that watched The Watchers.
bad boys.jpg movie buger.jpg the watchers.jpg
Bad Boys was your typical summer popcorn movie. You know in the end Will & Martin and going to win, so you just sit back and enjoy the explosive ride of a movie.
Since The Watchers is by M. Night Shyamala movie you need your thinking cap on. His movies NEVER go the way you would think, so be prepared for that twist towards the end. We enjoyed both movies but I would go back and rewatch The Watchers again.Leave a comment:

Boyfriend and I just finished watching Japan Horror/Mystery movie Lumberjack the Monster:
Lumberjack the Monster.jpg
A bizarre, but bloody serial murder case takes place. The murders seem to be influenced by the picture book "Kaibutsu no Kikor." The serial killer wears the mask of the "Lumberjack Monster" and attacks his victims' with an ax to take their brains. The serial killer's next target becomes the lawyer Ninomiya Akira. The lawyer is unusual in that he lacks empathy for others. He is also a cold-blooded and heartless person and carries the traits of a psychopath.
Other people become involved in the case including profiler Toshiro Ranko, Ninomiya Akira’s fiancée Hasumi Emi, Dr. Sugitani Kuro and past murder case suspect Kenmochi Takeshi. The case needs to be solved like a puzzle, including finding out why the serial killer takes the victim's brain and why the next target was chosen. Ninomiya Akira must work to solve this puzzle to save his own life.
Besides the non-realistic blood spray the movie itself was good. I sorta reminded me of Dexter. This was worth watching on Netfliz even it you have to read the subtitles.Leave a comment:

This morning boyfriend and and I took the nephew'to see Garfield the movie:
"Garfield reunites with his long-lost father, a street cat who draws him into a high-stakes heist."
It was a cute movie. The kids in the theater laughed throughout the movie. This was a cute family movie so go and enjoy it at the theater.
The bonus was it was breakfast & movie, so for 10 extra we got 3 chocolate chip pancakes a big scoop of scrambled eggs and several strips of bacon.

For our Memorial Day movie we decided to rewatch The Ministry Of Ungentlemanly Warfare.
The British military recruits a small group of highly skilled soldiers to strike against German forces behind enemy lines during World War II.

Boyfriend & I watched Netflix Atlas with Jennifer Lopez, Simu Lui and Sterling Brown:
atlas.webp
A data analyst must put her trust in AI after a mission to capture a renegade robot goes awry.
Atlas was an enjoyable movie. We would have seen this in the theater because it had Simu Liu! This movie reminds me of those Sy-Fy Channel series that were filmed using lots of green-screen. They made it cheaper and easier to film sci-fi series while still looking good.
It you get the chance sit back with you loved one or group of friends and enjoy this Sci-Fi adventure movie.Leave a comment:

I watched "Late Night with the Devil" last night. I'm not much into movies about this kind of thing, (mainly because most of them these days are cheap and thoughtless.) However, this one looked well made. It was set in the 70s, and my wife and I are both fond of the film's star.
I would recommend it, not because it's "Really Scary" but because of Dastmalchian's performance. As the posessed girl, Ingrid Torelli makes you uncomfortable for much of the film.
However it doesn't take itself too seriously and a couple of the actors are a bit hammy and stagey, which I think is intentional.
I won't spoil the ending but it's worthy of discussion.

Double feature 2nite:
Boyfriend & I just finished watching Jason Statham Beekeeper:
One man's brutal campaign for vengeance takes on national stakes after he is revealed to be a former operative of a powerful and clandestine organization known as "Beekeepers."
Jason Statham movies are great date night movies. You do not have to overthink the movie because Jason is going beat up or kill people and escape at the end of the movie. All you need to do is cuddle up with your significant other and just zone out watching the action.

Boyfriend & I rewatched The Fall Guy on digital and it was worth the it. It's what I expect for a summer popcorn movie with all the action/adventure/explosive movie but was overshadowed by the other named movies. Plus, I think this came out too early, if this came out during the summer this may have had more audience attending during the week.
We did get to see this at the theater, but we were given tickets to review it under somebody else name, so we didn't post it.
Watch the credits because they show the behind=the=scenes of the movie and the mid-credit scene is the "chef kiss" to the movie!

Boyfriend & I just got back from watching IF.
"A young girl who goes through a difficult experience begins to see everyone's imaginary friends who have been left behind as their real-life friends have grown up."
It was a beautiful family movie that you just do not see much of at the theater so go and enjoy it. In general I do not watch much of Ryan Reynolds movies. He was cast in two movies that just were wrong for him (Green Lantern & Blade). This was surprising a toned down version of him and he did his character justice.
It does include the voice talent of Louis Gossett Jr in one of his last works and at the end of the credits they give him honor.

"Dance of the Dwarves" AKA "Easy Flyer" is a movie I have never heard of before. It's essentially a remake of "African Queen" with Peter Fonda as Bogart and Deborah Raffkin as Hepburn. It's shot in the Philippines, but, surprisingly, it seems to have a decent budget.
It's about a killer tribe of "pygmy" creatures with wings, I was expecting something totally different than what we end up with. They creatures reminded more of monsters from Space:1999, which i dug.
John Amos shows up as a witch doctor (I'm not sure why since this is clearly Asia) and when he says to Deboarh Rafkin, "What are you doing here?" I also wanted to ask him that.
My only complaint about this movie was no Vic Diaz cameo, what a great loss.
