Like I said...I love both sports equally...but I'm a realist...you Damien...are a dreamer.

They all have access to watching the NFL...just like we have access to their soccer games.
The NFL is a mild interest to them...like a novelty.
As hard-headed as you are on your beliefs...so are they.
You place an NFL franchise in England...it will get crushed by the English Premier...or any other mad-soccer country for that matter (which is like ALL of them...lol).Leave a comment:

It's funny how American football fans think soccer is boring...and on the flip side...soccer fans think American football is boring.
It's what you grew up and know.
I grew up watching and following both sports...I like them both equally.
Having said that...nothing...and I do mean nothing...beats the electricity of World Cup play...nothing...not even close.
But don't worry...the World Cup is only once every four years...I can watch my Super Bowls peacefully during World Cup hiatus.

Just an update (Adam West already covered many of this already):
CONCACAF is set now...teams going to the World Cup:
1. USA
2. Mexico
3. Honduras
On the CONMEBOL (South America) side:
1. Brazil
2. Paraguay
3. Chile
4. Argentina
Argentina barely qualifies...but they qualified nevertheless...they beat Uruguay 1-0.
Uruguay finished fifth...they will play two games against the fifth place Costa Rica next month...
Uruguay vs Costa Rica enter the CONMEBOL/CONCACAF play-off.
The winner of that is the final team going to the World Cup out of the Americas.

The USA has NEVER beaten Mexico in Mexico...let alone top Europeans and South American teams.I couldn't believe they scored that goal . . . . pretty wild . . and they were a man down for quite a while too. I think France is now in but not sure . . . . . if they held the World Cup in Mexico that team might have a chance otherwise no way. Still alot of shuffling left to do it should be fun to watch unfold over the next week or so.
Plus you must surely know that the USA is Mexico's most hated team...they would abuse that team like there's no tomorrow down there.
USA's best chance is to play here in the States.
Same applies to Mexico....they can't win anywhere except in their own country.Last edited by Hector; Oct 15, '09, 5:29 PM.Leave a comment:
