>when did the word "*******" become acceptable for a movie title.
There was a LOT of concern over this, which I think is the reason it's spelled funny. And if you check my first post; apparently it was okay back in the 70's....
>When I was a kid, that was considered swearing
Maybe. When I was a kid it was one of them nebulous words that wasn't polite; but could occasionally see use if circumstanes required.

Love Tarantino but not sure on this one (haven't seen it yet). Seems like an unapologetic revenge movie from what I've read . . .Leave a comment:

Maybe I'm going soft or something, but when did the word "*******" become acceptable for a movie title. When I was a kid, that was considered swearing. I wouldn't want my 9 year old nephew saying "Hey, did you see Inglorious *******s?"Leave a comment:

I saw it last night, and I must say, I enjoyed it. Now I'm normally not into war movies and I am not a Brad Pitt fan, nor have I seen any of his flicks until now.
BUT I will say this. In a sense, it's a foreign film since most of the dialogue is spoken in French and German with English subtitles. However, the subtitles disappear when English is spoken.
It is violent as hell with lots of shootings, blood, and head scalpings. And I will say there are indeed certain historical inaccuracies, especially as far as Hitler was cocerned. But Brad Pitt makes it well worth the watch. He is primarily the only thing comical in this otherwise war movie. His character is from Maynardville Tennessee and the way he looks and acts in this movie, he reminds me of a young Gerald McRaney in this movie.
But that's all I'm going to reveal since I don't wish to spoil it.
Cheers.
HITLER: NEIN! NEIN! NEIN! NEIN! NEIN!!
PITT: We're not in the prisoner takin bidness. We're in the Killin Nazi bidness, and brother, bidness is boomin!!Leave a comment:

Brad Pitt is definitely enjoying himself in this role. Looks like he's having as much fun playing this scalp-hunting soldier as he did in Burn After Reading. It's good to see Pitt pursuing more of a "Johnny Depp" type career of portraying characters with a bit of eccentricity to them.
Don't expect Downfall or The Bunker is all I'm saying!
Heck, if you've seen the original, park your expectations at the door. This one seems to be a remake in name only for the most part. It's undoubtably a Tarantino film. He even gets in his obsessive meandering pop culture dialogue... only it's set around the European cinema of the 1940's.Leave a comment:

He was on Howard Stern promoting the movie last week and mentioned how Pitt cut him off a big piece of hash one day when they were partying...... It caused a bit of a buzz, not one of his best pr moves!Leave a comment:

definately looks cool......anything with Nazi's getting slaughtered sounds good to me.....I am sure as is typical of Tarantino, there will be lots of blood and over the top violenceLeave a comment:

I never heard of this movie until this thread.
Looks very watchable ...
I just might have to break down and see it

It could only be described as "historical fantasy" but I sure as hell liked it. So much cinema is jaded and predictable these days, QT manages to avoid both so he gets my vote :-) First rate acting all round, including Brad Pitt.

Review here are very positive.
"QT back in top form"
"He's back!"
Yeah, it's inaccurate historically, but so are many other "historical" movies, right?
I want to see it!Leave a comment:
