I have no idea where, but back in the 70's my brother used to go up to Canada to camp and fish 2 weeks out of each year for about 10 years straight.
He used to live with "the natives" whatever that ment.
Knowing him, it was to save money

He would tell me all kind of stories about them teaching him how to cover himself in bear-fat to protect him from something (maybe mosquitoes)

At the end of his trips he would come home with coolers filled with fresh fish.
Not sure what kind they were but many were really big and some had teeth.

I always wanted to go but my mom wouldn't let me because I was too young at the time.

I haven't been since I was around 14. Went to Toronto and saw Niagra Falls from that side I believe. I'd have to check a map to see where else we went.

I still remember the first time I ever went to Canada ...

    I was just a little kid -- maybe 6 or 7 ....

My mom said ... you're in Canada now which is little England

    I was like ... really ?

She said .... yes, the Queen is the president here.

Made me feel like I was really far away from home (which really was about 500 miles)

    Good times

Lived here in Ontario all my life. I've visited Quebec (Montreal's the ****) and B.C. (Didn't get to spend nearly enough time there, and spent too much time in a haze to remember what I saw there).
