$4000 on a $1 Deuces Wild slot machine. Far from my only win but it is still my biggest. $4400 total for the night. Also got picked to go on stage at the casino for a game show promo they did and won $500. They pick you randomly as you swipe your comp card entering the casino. My wife got picked a couple of years later for a similar promo and won $50. Noticing a pattern..we gamble a lot. I have won the two things I wanted most in the last two Meet raffles. Two years ago it was the Palitoy Hutch figure and this year it was the FF Superman. Thanks to whoever donated those by the way. I like em a lot.. My most common win was 5 pairs of tickets to see the Romantics back in the 80's. Local radio station sponsored the show and raffled all the tickets. I was working at a local convenience store and spent the overnight shift calling every contest thay had for the week up to it. Won 5 times. Pretty much had all my friends with me at the concert. Winning 5 times was more memorable than the concert though.

I won Kiss tickets twice in six months back in 1996-97. First, I entered and won a drawing in one of the Detroit newspapers for front row seats at the Tiger Stadium reunion tour kickoff. Then the next spring, I won skybox seats from my local newspaper to the Kiss concert near our hometown. For that contest, I had to put on lipstick and put my best pucker prints on the newspaper and send it in. Apparently, I had very sexy lip prints. LOL I also attended a concert at the Palace in Auburn Hills between those two and (this was back when I was still,..well,... young and thin with big, perky boobs) I got pulled down by roadies from the nosebleed section right to the second row.
In 1989 I won backstage passes at a Def Leppard concert by winning the wet t-shirt contest.
,......oh man, have I ever gotten old, fat & boring since then,....sigh.Leave a comment:

I won a four foot stuffed rabbit from a movie theatre one Easter for my rainman-like jellybean counting ability.
I went to an employee xmas party thing with a girlfriend of mine once. I've never been a gambler so I asked the dealer to explain how 21 worked when I sat down - after establishing I was serious he was kind enough to do so and I was $550 imaginary dollars up after everyone else at the table bombed out. Since I didn't work with her she thought it would be rude to cash in (a blender and a bottle of wine I think?) so we just left with the free hors d'oeuvres we'd eaten.
I won a cool LEGO set in a contest.
OH and I won a lifesize Ep1 Watto from Pepsi ... It was an entry form by mail thing, done in a retirement heavy supermarket, so I may have been the only one that entered.Leave a comment:

First time In Laughlin and put three quarters in a slot machine when my wife was checking into out room and I hit $1500. Needless to say I didnt come back down from the room. Cashed out and basically used the $20 motel for a good nights sleep before the long drive to Pheonix. Also bought two tickets to a judo match raffle my son attends yearly last year and won a $500 savings bond. Wanted the wii but won the top prize of the savings bond. Dont gamble much but glad for the good luck when I do. My favorite win was a win I had on ebay where I was going after a mego parts lot that had a set of speedy and aqualad boots among other things that were in the parts listed in the lot. Won it for $45 and when I recieved the package the lady gave me a zip lock bag with a note telling me thanks for winning the auction and that she threw in some xtras because she didnt know what to do with them. They were a conan sword, a thor hammer, a green arrow bow and a conan scabbard.Leave a comment:

Money-wise, never.
I was Sailor of the Year for my Command when I was stationed in Japan. That was a big honor for me. I don't think I could assign a dollar amount to the joy I felt in having that recognition.Leave a comment:

I started out strong by winning the gift of life. Then almost nothing for the past 34 years. In fifth grade I won a Smoke detector in a raffle sponsered by local firefighters, and I won a fifty-fifty draw at a local theater a few months back, my haul being $40.
Winning Mitch's Wednsday Morning Triva is a pretty good feeling though, and I like the cards much more than a stupid smoke detector even if they can't save my life.Leave a comment:
