Anybody familiar with Rumph pottery? I found this today at a sale:
I've always liked Rumph stuff. It's so 70's--vaguely psychedelic Tolkien California wizard vibe in flat earthy tones. He later went on to create tankards of popular characters such as Superman and Star Wars. His face mugs are probably his most recoginized work.
He seemed to kick off a whole school of this sort of brown earthy pottery that ruled throughout the 70's. His stuff was always top notch.
Anyway, anybody a fan?
