Our house is ceramic tile from wall to wall. Its flood, hurricane, and dog pee proof. Best thing we ever did here after the hurricane carnage. -
I did the whole house myself for under $1900,Leave a comment:

Sweet work Damian! You look like you were really busting it getting that old grout out. Looks like a job and a half, but you did awesome work! Certainly give's me ideas for our basement. I take it those white pieces in the second shot are spacers?Leave a comment:

Bro I just tiled up my whole house about 3 months ago, it was the biggest mission just because I had to remove the old tile and then lay down the new ones. It's pretty simple to lay them down...if you're doing it yourself( BUY KNEE PADS and something to support your back)
It's cheaper then wood, looks very nice and it lasts forever
scraping old grout
just layed down
done!these are 18x18's

I don't have any pics but a Family friend used stone tiles. It came out Fantastic. She ended up using an earthtone color. Kind of like a real light brown

Hmmm,
I'd say maybe a nice unglazed rusty color quarry tile and decorate the room with a tropical flavor.
Use a few Carribian style patterned throw rugs to top it all off.
Since this is an outside shed, the tropics theme will give it a resort bungalow feel.Last edited by Mikey; Jun 28, '09, 9:44 AM.Leave a comment:

How about stained concrete? I have seen some fine designs and you can do it yourself.

I'm converting the backyard shed into a guest bedroom.
I was thinking in going against the grain...and perhaps place tile instead of hardwood.
Since it's in the backyard...I figured dirt is not a problem for tile.
Anyone has a picture of their bedroom with tiles?
I wanna see what it looks like.
You guys think that would be tacky?
Don't ask about a permit...shhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...lol...
