I hear ya. Even though I have not listened to his new stuff...I repeatedly watch The Making of Thriller on my iPhone and listen to Thriller lp occassionally.

My big celeb that will bother me most is....yeah, don't laugh...Gene Simmons.

I never saw this grief with Michael coming... but Gene is a big influence on
my life/art...I don't know HOW I'll react when Gene passes.

Right now I'm listening to a Michael mix I just made----R.I.P. "Thriller"

If you could throw me in a DeLorean with a Flux Capacitor and send me to any era it would be the 80s...Michael Jackson was HUGE when I was a teenager and I was just reminiscing/giving a history lesson to my kids.

When I heard the news I immediately turned to MTV to see if they were covering it and was glad to see that they're showing Michael Jackson videos. It would have been terrible if they didn't acknowledge one of the premiere artists who put them on the map, even though they no longer show videos with any frequency anymore.

Tuned in just in time to see Thriller...Remember when, back in the day, when this would be show at the every hour on the hour? Classic classic stuff.

This day has really rocked my world...an icon from my childhood, one of my first pre-teen crushes, Farrah, died today and then an icon from my adolescence, a musical phenomenon also dies on the same day. My head is spinning....un-freakin'-believable.

it's tragic for his family and children. 50 is far to young to leave the world. Now over the next few months and years all the garbage will start coming out.

For nostalgia, i'll always remember him most from the J5 cartoon.

I know he did a lot after that, but if the J5 were the Beatles, the J5 cartoon was the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan show.

It's weird thinking of the entire Jackson 6, Michael died before any of the others including the parents.

No matter what we thought of his freakish behavior , Ye really is legend in the music industry and big loss to pop culture. He may have been a toon, but he will be missed.

It's just so hard to believe. I'm not a big Jackson fan but still .... First Ed McMahon then Farrah and now Jackson. wow.

Michael was such a freak for so long that it kind of seemed like he (or at least the Michael I want to remember) died a long time ago. Still, it's sad to hear he's truly gone.

The freakish behavior made it easy to minimize Michael, but he was awesome at one time. That's the Michael I want to remember.

Maybe I'm just losing my mind.

Not strange at all, I am a huge Howard Stern fan, listened to him for more then 20 years.... I am sure I will feel like I lost a very close family member when he passes.

Love Him or not he is pop culture legend.

He's a legend and a pioneer, unfortunately he will fall under the category of another icon with a questionable past. I feel for the family so if true may both he and Charlie's Angel RIP.
