Megan Fox and guarenteed action are enough to make me give it try. I'm easy to please. I'm also a big proponent of seeing movies like this in an actual theater. If it sucks so be it. -
This was a great Movie imo....
It was filled with a Ton of action,.. some new character development,.. & a lot of the Old cast of Actors.
If you know anything About TransFormers Mythos,.. this Had a Ton of the History in the Film,... they mixed it up a Bit,... something were just a tad different,.. but it was there ... Devastator,.. the Idea of Soundwave with Ravage & Lazer Beak,... & The Combiner of Prime & JetFire was all very,.. very cool.
& Megan Fox,... Was smok'in,... in every Scene too.Leave a comment:

I saw the original with a couple of buddies who grew up with Transformers. I thought it was a horrible film that barely made sense, and had trouble telling the robots apart when they werent in car/plane mode. They both loved it. One said it was the greatest film he had ever seen....go figure?
I assume the same will happen here. It will stink like cheddar left out in the sun on a pile of chicken manure, but the folks who grew up with it will love it.
I heard Paramount, after viewing the first cut of GI:Joe, actually fired Stephen Sommers on the spot, and brought in Stuart Bard to re edit the film into something salvageable. Do I think that will keep the fans of the REAL American Hero version of GI:Joe away...Nope. Heck, if it was based on the Adventure Team era Joe, and was rumored to stink, I would still line up first day.Leave a comment:

I do have nostalgia for the toyline, and I went to see th first one impressed with the effects, but disappointed with the changed character designs. In the end, it didn't matter. Since I didn't follow the story beyond the toys, the original cartoon, and the original Marvel comic, it all was close enough for me, and a well-done popcorn/action movie too boot.
If they do that again, we're good. And my son loved it, so it's something for us to enjoy together.

I have no nostalgic ties to Transformers. Never watched the cartoon, never had a toy, I was a little too old by then. So I had no expectations from the first movie at all. Just watched it because it was something to watch. I actually really enjoyed it for the action movie it was.
So I guess for me, if it's similar to the first, I'll probably enjoy it once it comes out on Blu-ray. I can't see myself laying down theater prices for it though.Leave a comment:

I hated everything about the first one, too.
It sucked more than Godzilla inhaling deeply....
