what about Rocky Marciano he was the only guy to ever win every single match, would Ali have beaten him? probably right? exactly...and p l e a s e...don't even compare Mike Tyson to Muhammad Ali or George Foreman. Ali would out box Tyson silly...and Big George would knock him the frak out.
Here's Big George at 45 years of age...taking out a young and prime Michael Moorer...

no but I know what you mean though , it's just a different era, in that time they had no fear of death

definitely, baseball is a sport where size and athleticism doesn't really matter. So i agree with you there 100%Yes, today's athletes are better. I'll completely give you that point, but it is not fair to think they are better by birth alone and not account for the differences in eras and training methods. Today's players have advantages that players from the past didn't have.
I would say that baseball is one sport where some of the old timers could have been a force today. Mickey Mantle would have been every bit as good today as he was back in the day. (Imagine him on steroids!) He officially hit homers that were 600+ feet on many occasions. Modern longest homer: Mark Macguire (on steroids) 545 feet. And "The Mick" still has the fastest recorded time from home to first and it wasn't a fluke. He did it all the time before injuries. No one since him has been able to beat his time.Leave a comment:

BTW...going by your logic, Damien...your beloved Warrior would be a scrub in the WWE today.
Randy Orton would say jump...and the Warrior would say how high.

Today's players have advantages that players from the past didn't have.I feel bad cause you old guys think that everything from your time was better,I hate to break it to you guys but everything gets better as time goes by,Athletes included
I'm sure 30 years from now players will be better then LeBron or Kobe...and I'll be the first to admit that,I don't know why you guys can't

you think a Spartan or one of those guys could take a Special forces or MMA fighter in hand to hand combat? doubtfulYou think dudes today are tougher than let's say Spartans, Vikings, Zulus, Mongols, Romans, Samurai...of the ancient world?
They would all eat anybody right now for breakfast, lol.
Men were tougher back then....nothing but pansies now.
Let's see how Shaq handles a gladiator on a one-on-one duel during ancient times, lol.
