Farting, why do men find it funny!?

I used to go to another room or the bathroom even but as the relationship grew and the family.
They(the family) started to follow me around so now I try to save them up and only let them escape when I have to bend down and pick something up...

I'm sorry farts are just funny.

For me farting is done indoors and exclusively for the wife because it peeves her off. Never in public. I have a sister in law that does it whenever she feels like it. Even during a meal at the inlaws. Her coments are usually more room out than in. That is where I draw the line. Never heard my wife do it nor do I ever want to. It does have its consiquences though. Had a buddy from work that used to like to blow up a room and wait for you to walk into the stench. I would always tell him that there may be consiquences from forcing yourself to do it. He never listened and the day came when we found him lying on the floor of one of the offices moaning in pain. Apparently it was early bloom and he was taken away in a ambulance for some emergency surgery. Needless to say he does not do it any more.

I have mixed feelings about this topic. I am not pro farting by far. I do not do that at all if it can be prevented. I have had some friends in the past when I was younger would do this kind of stuff all the time. At that time in my life it was "kind of" funny to me I suppose depending on the place and the situation as well as who was around and what their reaction was afterwards.

One particular time back in high school a friend of a friend let out the biggest fart that I had ever witnessed in real life. Me and a group of friends were in a fast food restaurant when this happened. It was at a Taco Bell so this may have explained the whole thing. The whole bench at the table we sat at literally vibrated it was so loud. Unbelieveable! I never witnessed anything like that before. While most of my friends at that given time thought that it was hillarious I found it a bit funny just for a little while. I could not help but laugh some as their laughter was contagious. I don't think that I was laughing so much that the dude farted. I think that it was more like laughing at others laughing at how stupid that it was. Not something that I would personally and thoroughly enjoy in an eating establishment of any kind though.

Now that I am older I have even less tolerance for stuff like that. I don't even like it when someone blows their nose in a dining establishment. To me that is just so rude. I can understand people having allergies and what not as so many people do these days. Still one does not have to go and blow their honker like it is a bull horn for everyone else to have to hear while trying to enjoy a meal. I believe a little more common sense could be used and they could either wipe their nose from running or at least try to silence it some. Just a pet peeve of mine. I think the older that I get the more pet peeves I have. It must have something to do with getting older. ???

I agree that there is a time and place, but any hang ups I had about EVER went by the wayside when I joined the military. Having to function at a high-level, in that environment, taught me a lot.

I used to laugh at my friends', "one time, at the Frat House" stories. Weak!!!!

I used to work for an old farmer like that. One day when we were changing the shovels on the cultivator I got curious as to why this guy kept wondering over to the far end of his shop all the time.Figuring he had a bottle of something tucked away, I followed him. I dont drink but wanted to know if he was getting buzzed for my own safetys sake.

Long story short, my eyes are still watering, and my nostril hairs are only now starting to grow back!

I agree, there is a time and place for everything. Passing wind can go from utterly inappropriate to hysterically funny depending on the situation and who is around. I believe most women find it piggish and quite unattractive, especially in public. Unfortunately at home can be another story.

Farting is a normal bodily function but I think most have the ability to control it to some extent. It is completely unprofessional to do this in public at work and I would even include the men's bathroom.

If I really have one that I can't hold back, I go into a bathroom stall and try to let it out as quietly as possible. Other guys walk in stand right in the urinal next to mine and just rip them like there's no tomorrow usually followed by some stupid remark like "Two for the price of one". Honestly, I don't find it funny. I don't the person outside of work and it is pretty rude in my opinion.

At home, if I have to release one, I'll let it rip if no one is around but if my kids or wife are around I either walk into another room or try to at least make it quiet.

I hate that crap,people in gyms are always farting and burping and you never hear an excuse me either, i find it nasty as hell
