It might be an automatic reaction to try to avoiding hitting an animal, but remember - worse things can happen if you don't.
wow that sucks man.But yeah you're right.

Funny thing is that when I was in my teens i use to get into huge discussions with my mother when she use to swirve for an animal and now I find myself doing the same thing all the time.I guess it is a natural reaction

I've hit a deer (that one slammed into the side of my car), a coyote, two cats, numerous squirrels, a skunk, a bird or two, a frog and a duck. I wasn't aiming for any of them, honest! I usually feel sick to the stomach afterwards, it's not fun, especially with the bigger animals.
lol! holy crap,I hope I never find myself anywhere near you while you're driving

Hope it wasn't an octomom squirrel you killed or now you'll have 14 baby squirrels to raise all by yourself. I wouldn't want to be in your shoes cause now you'll be answering to Dr. Phil.

Weird this topic came up just now ........

I kid you not, I seen an albino squirrel this past Tuesday.

He ran across my balcony and disappeared under a thick hedge.

By the time I got my camera, he was long gone.

I'm not saying enjoy the kill...but don't get too bum about it.

I used to hunt with my dad as a kid...I don't hunt anymore...but I kinda know how you feel. The last animal I shot (I was about 14 years old) was a hare...and I felt really bad about it...that hare was my very last one.

    I still eat rabbit though.
