I didn't like it as a kid, but when I got older, I started to enjoy it. I really like it now. I need to pick up the DVD.

Oh so you were the other guy, I always wondered.

Kotter is still pretty well liked, everytime I put something Kotter related on Plaidstallions, I get a pile of hits.

Personally, I loved the show as a kid but couldn't get into it as an adult. My college roommate never missed it however.

It lost something for me when Arnold got married. Even when I was a kid I knew something didn't seem right. Even then I thought "HIM?! Who in the right mind would marry HIM?"

Yeah, that was awesome. Lenny and Squiggy showing up was fantastic.

I really liked the show as a kid, but I tried to watch one a while back, and it just didn't hold up for me. It was cornier than I remember.

Travolta made a carreer out of playing Barbarino in different movies though.

I really wanted those figures and playset back in the day. I didn't understand they weren't really Megos. Nice custom set, Dave.

Welcome Back Kotter was one f the great 70's TV shows.

"Up you nose with a rubber hose" is a classic line.

The early eppisodes are my favorites. I haven't seen it in years, but Arnold was much wierder early on... and who isn't singing the theme to themself right now?

Anyone watch High Stakes Poker? Kaplan is one of the commentators and he's absolutely great.

    Hmmmm....

I've been watching it on the old tv show station here and it's a really good show. There's a definite meter to it; and the folks playing the Sweathogs have an almost vaudevillian level of comic timing and patter.

It's alos interesting to compare it to current sitcoms. There's an almost laid back feel to it; like things happen more naturally... as opposed to newer sitcoms where everything FEELS scripted because there's very little flow between gags.

Did I ever tell you about my Uncle Myron?

I loved Kotter, a Thursday night staple in my house! And of course this had all the kids in school saying "Up your nose w/ a rubber hose!"
