Been working 5-10 hours of OT per week since I started this new job a little over a year ago. Not much but every little bit helps. -

two jobs: as performer musician and as bass teacher and jazz combo teacher in a private school...meantime i've comed back to conservatory as pupil to take a graduation in jazz music...that could allowe me to try to enter the mkt of the public schools and university...but the Italian governement in charge decided to cut the financiaments to public instruction of over six bilions of Euros and an huge cut to culture and theatres for the years to come....i think i'll to face very hard times... consider that the part time job mkt in Italy is very little compared with yours..
well, we will see , crisis had been already comed and passed in recent history...Leave a comment:

Hey,
Always have worked relief at one of the local Emergency clinics, but for the last 9 months have worked almost every Saturday and Sunday relief as well as the normal 5 days at my day practice. Looks like that pattern will continue for the next two years heavy.
Trying to get all debts paid off by the end of 2010 except the house. Since I still have a boatload of Student loans left, it will be hard but not impossible. The biggest trick will be not to burn myself out before I reach the goal - or have a heart attack.

I'm working plenty of overtime but I don't lose sight of the fact I am grateful to remain with the same company and industry for the past 22 years. Hope it lasts.Leave a comment:

The current job market is garbage. Its getting back to the days of you have to know someone on the inside to get hired.
I'm waiting on a phone call to see if I have a new job. My current employer is playing the layoff game every quarter, and I'm not going to stay around long enough to be a winner in their little game.Leave a comment:

Yeah when I first started out I worked 3-4 jobs and went to school. 10 years later as a Nurse I put in 12-18 hour days. I missed most of my first two kids growing up. Now I back doing heavy work cause I needed something with less stress. Somedays I come home barely able to move.
Social security (if we even still have it then) Says I can retire with full benefits in my mid 70s Oh Joy. I had 3 pension plans and two got wiped out.Leave a comment:

I took a leave of absence from my other position last year. I will be picking it back up (plus whatever else I can find) after I'm done with my MFA program next year.
My wife has been working part time as well. She is planning on trying to do more this next year as well.
Oklahoma's economy is OK, but we've lost so much in our retirement accounts that we're feeling nervous, so we're going into overdrive.
