Sad indeed. I didn't realize he was that old. He's lived a good long life. My favorite film he made besides of course Butch Cassidy, was the life and times of Judge Roy Bean. If you like westerns, it's one to watch.

Since we're on the topic. You know, Rutger Hauer has always reminded me of him. Ever since I first saw him in Blade Runner and the Hitcher.

They're going to stop production of all Newman's Own ?

Or just the ones you show above ?

I love Newman's Own spaghetti sauce.

    BTW,

I heard his daughter runs everything today.

One of the greates actors who ever lived...and the second coolest after Steve McQueen.

I loved his products too (I hear they are going to stop production of these items)...

Paul was the role model for what an Actor should be. He will be missed.

Here is a picture I took of him in the early 80's at the debut of his 300zx race car. The car quit on the third lap and at the bottom of the S turns he got out and was standing about 15 feet from me. I saw him later in the pits and asked him about it and he said. "Thats racing. Sometimes the car just doesn't want to run!"

Ever the gentleman. He and his wife were very generous with charity, including supporting our local theater. Joanne Woodward grew up in Marietta.

    Great actor.
Though I still feel, especially in his later years, that he could have made many more good movies. I think he kind of lost the drive to keep on acting.
