Kraven looks like the typical Sony superhero flick, just like Ghost Rider, Venom and Morbius. Very generic and soulless.

Does anyone else feel like we hit "Peak Superhero Movies" a while back? I completely get the collective "blah" about this but for some reason that same "blah" hit me for all of it going back to pre-pandemic. I have lost all the excitement I had when we were in the build up to "The Avengers". To be clear, I'm not expressing disappointment at the quality of any one movie or anything like that. I realized that my disinterest was some kind of "burn out" and I'm wondering if any of you hit that same wall somewhere along the trail.

Hate to admit this but Kraven The Hunter    was written better than the comic books have done. Kraven   should have been an anti-hero a long time ago. He should have been part of the Midnight Sons hunting down the supernatural since he is labeled the hunter.
I really liked seeing the actual Rino in a fight. Seeing The Chameleon got me happy. Despite what others say I liked this version of Kraven.

Was there any plan to connect all of this mess? Or were these just random one shots to milk the IP? I've never sensed a plan and I think that made the public apathetic.

There WAS a plan, back when Sony was making the Garfield films. But the poor response to, and weaker box office of ASM 2 sent their Secret Six project into mothballs. Except they've been strip-mining some of the concepts for these stand-alone films.

But the bottom line is, outside of Venom, who was proven to be commercially viable outside of Spidey in the comics, no one wants to see these characters in a movie without Spider-Man.
