I loved the Hanna-Barbera stuff mostly. I still have a few of their character bean bag "beanie babies" like Atom Ant, Penelope Pitstop, and Speed Buggy, etc.

There were four of them within easy striking distance of where I lived or worked. I spent many lunch hours browsing in them. I still have a lot of stuff from those stores, Some statues and a couple of very nice BTAS production cells, along with some clothes. I hated to seem them all close.

Yeah I'm sure they probably were destroyed. I was able to go to a couple of these stores over the years. Always enjoyed browsing through there and usually picked up a little thing or two.

I always had eyes on the animation cels they had there, but never bought any.

Yeah, we asked about the fixtures too. Our store had huge figures of Superman and Batman bursting through the walls. I think they had strict orders to send them back. I bet most of them were destroyed, which is just soul-crushing.

They were to be shipped back to WB. The store I visited told me, they had orders to return them.

I remember my nearest branch had full colour, life-sized busts of the classic Justice League on huge pedestals, gazing down upon the customers. They weren't for sale (I asked). Always wondered what happened to those when they closed down.

I need to watch this. We discovered Louisville had a WB store just about a year or so before the whole chain collapsed. I have a ton of merch from there, including a large Batman statue based on Carmine Infantino's art, and several of the Ross plates. We were expecting our first kid when they started to clearance out their stock for closing, and bought up a TON of Super Baby clothes and other items!

I spent way too much money and time there. I got to know a manager real well and this gave me the bonus. I was at the store when they showcased Batman Beyond before it aired. Was lucky enough to get the Batman Beyond & Ace before they hit the stores. Most the employ knew me by name or " boss's other boyfriend". Even have a complete set of DC comics plushies.

I have two coveted pieces from them, an Alex Ross Justice League plate he signed and a DC Supergals mug that I've had forever. I heated my kid's formula up in that mug.

Same here, had so much fun shopping/browsing there back in the day. Around the same time, we had a store that specialized in memorabilia from popular licenses, each had their own little section (Marvel, DC, various bands, etc.) but for the life of me, I can't remember the name of it. Somewhere between those two stores is where I lost much of my mad money.
