Drop the Jerome name, let's start calling him the Joker already...
Now that it's halfway through its third season, Fox's Batman prequel Gotham has already presented origin stories for several heroes and villains of DC Comics mythology. But the show has kept its audience waiting all this time for confirmation on one…

Cameron "Jerome" Monaghan's number one influence for his Joker, Mark Hamill & comic books...
http://comicbook.com/dc/2017/01/30/cameron-monaghan-reveals-which-joker-most-influences-jerome-on-g/Jerome is back in full effect on tonight’s winter finale of Gotham, and while they may not officially call him “the Joker,” there’s little question now that the character, portrayed by actor Cameron Monaghan to great critical and fan acclaim, is about as Joker as you can get without carrying the name. In the winter […]

Does anyone else think they named the Joker Jerome as a not-so-subtle credit to Jerry Robinson?Leave a comment:

Sure, it was a great scene...as it showed how demented Jerome really is.
But I want those scars to eventually disappear...hopefully a batchload of chemicals is going to smooth out his face...once it turns white of course...Leave a comment:

Seems to me that his face will heal with inconsequential scarring (take a look at screen shots on Google of him with it reattached) and the storyline was adapted for the single purpose of assigning him a permanent unnatural grin.
I really like Cameron's work with this character so far, don't care too much for the Jerome cult aspect though. Hopefully that will run its course in due time. Other than that tiny compaint, I still LOVE this show. Looove That Joker

I hope so, that would rule.
Jerome has the potential to be the best onscreen live Joker ever...the young actor has "got" it. But for that to happen, he's gotta turn white and green first...then we can talk
And you know, now I have to admit he has indeed been influenced by Ledger, Hamill, Nicholson, and even Romero...I'm sure he studied those folks...that's how the world keeps revolving after all.
They should've cast this kid for the movies...instead of lame arze Jared Leto.
Right on Brother!!

it'll heal up, make up gets costly on these shows. maybe his run in with Bruce next week will lead to Axis Chemicals.Leave a comment:

Yes, agreed. Jerome is a great Joker, he embodies the character perfectly. However, as you said, wished they had not gone with the cut up face either. I'm still hoping that's temporary. Would love to see him fall into a tank of chemicals, smooth out his face, turn his skin white, and hair green, that would rule.Leave a comment:
