I think this is similar to Bendis' take on Kraven over in Ultimate Spider-man.

Kraven was an Australian reality TV star who tries to hunt Spider-Man on live-tv or something like that.

then they made him a werewolf.

Huh. I had no idea. Left the Ultimate title after about 20 issues, and never looked back.

I always thought the Amazing Spider-Man script was in fact a modified Raimi Spider-Man 4 script. The credited writer also wrote Spider-man 2 and 3. With the Lizard already set-up in 2 & 3, plus Gwen and Captain Stacey set up in 3.

I have to wonder if you jettisoned the origin story aspect of Amazing Spider-Man, In addition to Baker Lizard, would they have given that over to Malkovich Vulture, Mysterio Bruce Campbell etc.?

Also the movie sounds like it would have been awesome. Would love to see Vulture or Mysterio in 1 of the new movies.

Rumor has it that Vulture is happening and it might be Michael Keaton. He is kinda bald and creepy these days.

Your fan plot? That's bizarre! I wrote the exact same story...I even picked Gerard Butler to play Kraven.

I would've gotten away with it if it weren't for that meddling Spider-Man.

I don't know how long Bruce would have been in the film. It says they were going to have a barrage of secondary villains like Prowler and Molten Man. I guess that means we catch Spidey as he's wrapping up the fight.

The last script called for Vulture and a "Lady Vulture", who was his daughter or sister. That was Malkovich and Anne Hathaway.

Campbell was originally Connors. Sony nixed it when Raimi laid out Lizard as the Spidey 2 villain as Campbell was considered B-level at the time. I think the Doc Ock backstory was originally meant for Campbell's Connor. Raimi had a lot of factors changed on him during production.

Bruce always swore up and down that he was suppose to play Mysterio. This proves it.

I'm surprised it would have been the Vulture instead of Lizard. More than Bruce Campbell, Dylan Baker sat in the wings for two entire movies waiting for an appearance as The Lizard that never happened.
