    NetFlix orders a Punisher Series

Smart move, he was easily the most compelling character on S2 of DD.

Very smart move, and I'm only about 6 episodes in for this season. It's been a BUSY last few weeks!

I can't wait! I'm really enjoying all the series, but I hope we get this one sooner than later (and that it doesn't push off Iron Fist or the other planned series)!

        cool.
but will this cut into the number of episodes in their deal? I can't remember the exact number, but netflix and marvel agreed on around 75? episodes in total.
luke cage and iron fist have already started filming, dd is getting a 3rd season, jj is getting a 2nd.
apparently someone behind "hannibal" is the showrunner for punisher, sounds like the right move. I was actually thinking of a "hannibal" approach for a man-thing series, it would be perfect: creepy and disturbing!

Great news. "Shane" is the best Punisher ever!

Netflix Punisher is absolutely perfect. The best depiction of the character ever.

Shane's broken-nose, beat up Punisher looks like he walked right off of a Tim Bradstreet cover.

I'm really hoping they do "Lost" style flashbacks to his past, and mine the kind of material you find in Garth Ennis' Born (except set in the Middle East instead of 'nam) or Tyger Tyger. In Daredevil, they have already hinted at what a broken and complex creature Frank was even before his family died and stretching back to childhood, which follows Ennis' compelling take on the character.

This scene from Born was pretty much hinted at or at least strongly suggested in the courtroom scene of Daredevil. Frank taking on an entire army solo. The idea that Frank has a "dark passenger" he turns the wheel over to in Dexter fashion. I think it's great that a Hannibal show runner is stepping into this series. Hannibal was often pitch black funny, as is Ennis' Punisher at times.

My one complaint (and this is nerdy nerdy nerdy) with Daredevil Season 2, was that they could have perfectly set-up Punisher's Kitchen Irish saga, which has the best villain this side of Walking Dead's Negan. The character didn't suffer the fate of his comic book counterpart however.

Yes, smart move, Shane is perfect in this role. Would like to see the slicked back hair do though.

                    Really,really looking forward to this.
This has been the best take on the character in a film related way yet.
Almost time to unload all my punisher comics .....muwahahahaha...

From what I have watched the series, I can see coming and it will be "bloody" good show.
