Yeah i did a teenage girl scream when they did that.
This is starting to feel like Fringe, of course they threw a lot of knowing DC winks in their Earth 2. I was surprised Earth 2 didn't have blimps.

I wonder how long it will take Caitlin to figure out Ronnie is alive on another Earth? Currently she's fixated on Jay, but I'm waiting for him to tell her he's married?
Also loved Jay calling Barry "kid".
And now we have Wells on E2...is he the same guy? Is he Zoom who hates all Speedsters? If Zoom can travel Earths why does he need other villains to attack Flash?Leave a comment:

Patty Spivot is a character going back to the Bronze Age as well! So many Easter eggs in this one. When Stein actually said Earth-1 and Earth-2...I nearly cried.

A fantastic episode all around. The shot of Barry and Jay running around the brick column to Spivet was epic. Looking forward to next Tuesday.Leave a comment:

DCnU Vibe: In the New 52, Cisco's body is altered, allowing him to not only create seismic vibrations but also to be able to sense beings from other dimensions, and his constant vibration keeps him from being captured by cameras. He can also see and even walk into other dimensions/worlds in the multiverse. Amanda Waller picked him to be a member in the JLA in case they one day needed to use him against Flash. Vibe's powers can cut off the extra-dimensional Speed Force, rendering The Flash power-less.Leave a comment:

That scene with the Flashes, brick-wall divided, rushing towards Officer Spivet: goosebumps.
Woodrue Greenhouse. "52" parallel-Earth portals. Jay's helmet. All so cool.
Is Cisco being set up as a sort of Crisis' Pariah?Leave a comment:

Yeah, I pretty guessed that as soon as the words "No one will ever get in here without us knowing it" came out of Cisco's mouth, it would be the cue for Jay Garrick to show up and catch our group unawares. Definitely liked the vibe I got off of him...Atom Smasher was WWE's former wrestler Edge.
Liked the self "our bad" parady of Starlabs horrid security (from last season, something I kept pointing out)...they kept mentioning how anyone would just barge in, lol. As soon as the group mentioned of improved security (at the end)...in comes Garrick, lol.
Good start...Leave a comment:

Watched the season premiere this evening and, as someone else pointed out, it felt a little uneven, like the four month break put them a little out of practice as to how to keep the story cohesive. Little touches were nice (like the "Flash Signal"). I had some pretty grave fears from the first thirty minutes of the show that season two was going to take Barry down the dark and angsty road too many heroes are on these days. I'm glad that by episodes end, the band was back together, so to speak. The plot line with Barry's dad getting out of prison seemed a shoehorned into the episode and his departure from his son after spending fourteen years away from him in prison seemed a little strange. Don't know yet if it will figure into the grand scheme of Flash's second season. The effects on Atom Smasher were, IMHO, the weak spot of the show considering the fact that they were able to give us a really nice looking Gorilla Grodd and a pretty decent mini-singularity (for a TV show budget, anyway). Atom Smasher's only real reason for even being on the show came in his last thirty seconds to inform both Barry and the viewing public that there's another big baddie brewing in the background. Did enjoy seeing Jay Garrick at the very end: it will be interesting to see how well the two Flashes can meld with one another. Overall, I give the season opener 3 out of five possible lightning bolts.Leave a comment:

I think you all may be on to something with Henry's release and the Wells confession...which really made no sense to do.
There also doesn' t seem to be too much change from the nonexistance of Thawne, at least so far that we've seen. Does Gideon still exist behind the wall?
Looks like next week we'll be seeing the Sand Demon, who appears to have the powers of Sandy or Sand from the JSA. That would be two heroes so far gone bad on Earth One. Or ...are they NOT the Earth 2 heroes but the Earth 3 versions? Atom Smasher said he wanted to go back to his Earth, but which Earth?Leave a comment:

Grant Gustin is pale but that doesn't bother me. Conversely, we'll soon have a very bronzed Aquaman and that makes no sense at all.
I thought the episode was uneven, but I'm in for the duration. The guy playing Rothstein was...less than compelling. I do like Victor Garber a lot as Prof. Stein.
Is anyone else waiting until Caitlin Snow wigs out and goes rogue, teaming with Capt. Cold?Leave a comment:
