Just something I do when I get bored. Using character archetypes(loosely based on Firefly characters.)
We have;
Leader-Pretty self explanatory. Supes or Cap are who I always think of.
Warrior-This is what I've dubbed Zoe. Wonder Woman, Hawkgirl, War Machine, Carol Danvers, Natasha Romanov are all characters that come to mind. Is frequently the leaders friend and confidant.
Comedian-Another pretty self explanatory one. From simple one liners to being a total smart@$$. Ted Kord, Scott Lang...Obviously this is based Wash from Firefly.
Jerk-Guy Gardner, Logan, John Walker...you know the type.
Naive-The newbie. Kitty Pride, Stargirl...let's just say Kaylee Frye
Playboy/girl-Incredible riches, faraway lands, big money, fabulous prizes, romance, intrigue. Tony Stark could fill this role as could Janet Van Dyne. Emma Frost, Warren Worthington, etc...Inara's role on Firefly.
Doc-Be it scientist, technical or medical, this is the guy with the answers to questions no one realized they had. Reed Richards, Hank Pym, Stark, Banner, Ray Palmet, Ted Kord.
Reverend-Wise character who is often an advisor to the leader and frequently has a connection to the mystic and arcane. Dr Fate, Zatanna, Thor, Shazam, Dr Strange...you get the gist.
Lost soul-The tormeted one. They may be a little crazy, maybe conflicted, but definitely in need of...something. The Winter Soldier and Natasha Romanov as well as Jason Todd or Raven from Teen Titans.
So there we go. Pick a team(JLA,JSA, X-Men, Avengers, Titans, Thunderbolts, you name it,)and go!
