    Well said!!

And I don't like them changing Johnny Storm's race for the same reason you probably wouldn't like Nick Cage to have been cast as Superman. Because he's so far off from my vision of the character that I've followed for 45 years. Race has absolutely NOTHING to do with it. I guess I'll never get a "faithful" Fantastic Four movie unless the wrights revert back to Marvel.
You make decent points...but the main difference is that Superman is such an iconic figure...not a single FF member is.

So, yes...changing Superman radically would bother me...FF individuals...not so much.

Didn't hear too much hate on her casting, latina playing a blond.

So why should black be so much worse?

Lou Diamond Phillips played a Mexican but wasn't. Although, he was fantastic in the role of Ritchie Valens, he was not as plump as Valens.....lol

I had a problem with Banderas as Pancho Villa, no, not because a Spaniard was playing a Mexican, but because Banderas was too skinny...Pancho Villa was a rotund fella, lol.
Same with Jlo playing Selena, People were outraged that a Puerto Rican was playing a Mexican, I thought it was great casting. Jlo's rump matched Selena's perfectly....so there was no arguement from me....

Come on now, we are talking about the Human Torch, half the time he's gonna be in flames anyway, lol.
Not a fake Hispanic, but don't forget the best one ever...John Wayne is... Genghis Khan!!
