Physically he would make a great Batman, he's really young though, 25...five years younger than Cavill, which is OK, near similar age groups works. I always imagine Supes being a tad older than Batman anyway.

He's got the jawline to look right in the cowl.

Of all the people over the years who have put on the costume in film, tv, mall appearances or whatever, he's the absolute worst.

Now having been able to research this dude on my laptop I am leaning towards this decision. If they are going towards the same age as Supes, which they should, he appears to be a pretty solid choice visually.

    Intense batman whoop-yoass pic

    Bruce Wayne playboy bag-o-massengil

Hoechlin would be a better fit for Nightwing to me, but If WBs casting that young, I think he looks the part.

He's on that Teen Wolf Show on MTV. The series itself is better than one might expect, but he doesn't seem to have that much range. He does intense and more intense. He might pull off Batman, but would have some issues with "playboy" Bruce Wayne. I don't know if I'd bank on him to carry an entire film himself.

If he's screen testing with Cavill, maybe he'll rise to the occasion. If he did Superman/Barman and JLA before a solo Batman film, he might grow (as an actor) into the role.

He looks like he could kick some serious butt.

Plus, that second pick looks like he could easily brood. I think he'll be a great choice.

As I feared, it appears the suits at WB are going for more of a "pretty boy" than a manly man to assume the mantle of Batman. I read this...

Regarding the new Batman, Tyler Hoechlin (Teen Wolf, Lincoln Heights, 7th Heaven, Road To Perdition) is being heavily considered for the part and will be getting a screen test alongside Henry Cavill.

... over on Cosmic Book News. This dude, IMHO, is waaaay too pretty to be either Bruce Wayne OR Batman. Looks more like a reject from TWILIGHT. Oy!!!!!

    And more pics

Armored, like the curent audience expects, but way more classic Batman in look.
NICE!!! I would take that in a heartbeat. I think the Dark Knight trilogy should serve as the last study of the character in the standard Hollywood rubber disguise. It's time to embrace a new look that reflects how he appears for kids today. This idea captures that perfectly.

With the Arkham games being HUGE, it wouldn't surprise me to see a Batman that looks more like that version...which in turn looks more like the traditional comic look. I think it's WAY past time we got a Batman that wasn't all in black. I was hoping Nolan would give us something different in Begins and DK. I like those suits, but I still was hoping for something more traditional. Now's the time.

You can do the blue and grey in very muted tones so it looks more like camo. And the cape could be two-tone.
