I haven't been buying on newsstands for a while I generally wait for TPB's now (monthly comics are just so expensive) BUT If JLA and JSA teamups are back I may have to pay more attention to the monthlies

^ I'm glad that the summer JLA/JSA cross-overs are back...I really missed them since they stoped doing them after Crisis On Infinite Earths.

Loved that run. so nice to see the JSA monthly rather than having to wait for the summer crossover of waiting for Barry to visit Jay.

Well you have to think. We are talking about nowadays in the comics. They did bring back Earth Two Superman and then killed him off. Why not create some story where he comes back from the dead? They did it with this Superman, why not him? I have a feeling that is going to happen anyway.

Earth Two Robin can't be used because he was technically killed in Crisis and never brought back. Why not use Nightwing? Perfect idea? Have him "fill in" for the missing spot where E2 Robin was plucked from existence. I am with Chris on that, I always liked E2 Robin as a kid. I think that is why I can relate with Chris's taste a bit here. E2 Robin was one of the main megos I customized last year.

As for Hawkman. I like how they made him into DC's Wolverine. Keep that version in this mix. The personalities would click well with this breed of characters. To be honest, he was a little lame. I just picked up the whole entire series of All Star Squadron in Adobe Acrobat form. I like how they wrote him in these retconned stories in the 80s. I wouldn't mind that version either.

I think I would like some form of Doctor Fate on this team, but he would have to be powered down because it would be worthless to have half of this team to be there with a guy that powerful. I don't like the idea how he was in All Star Squadron. Maybe give him a weakness, make him only be able to do so much in a day without being exhausted. Simple right?
    For Fate
It sounds like you really want the half helmet Kent neslon Dr fate power level where he was more of a magic wielding GA superman but I mean which host ,Kent Nelson, Hec Hall, NABU, either of the the JLA versions etc) see the entire pre crisis all star squadrons except the issues with Spectre & KULAK (I don't have them handy so I am going from memory 38-39?)

I like the justification of nightwing then (but in my mind I ma ignoring the Big DC events since they retcon so often and just taking the ones I want from all eras of the JSA) I was torn between E2 Robin and Huntress when I started but I so wanted Helena in the team.
my Modern history post crisis JSA is almost the same:
    GL Alan Scott
    Flash Jay Garrick
    Wildcat
Hawkman - Pre rebirth Carter Hall ala 70's
    Dr Fate kent Nelson
    Mr terrific Terry Sloan
    Sandman
Johnny Thunder (with the thunderbolt who was the trickter like in golden age)

Which Dr fate (each incarnation was very different) or did you really want the half helmeted fate from the mid 40's and All star squadron?

For hawkman which version modern retcon reborn, elder statesman (late 70's All star comics-1992), or youthfull golden/silver age a la all star squadron and JSA crossovers of the 60's) and which mask

I have both and they are great

the 10 issue run is post legends modern day very fun (the interplay between jay and ALan in the first issue is awesome about retirement and Ted grant and AL are a real Martin & lewis in the series

the 8 issue occurs in 1950 before the HUAC forced retirement. I actually have extras of most of the run (I ended up getting bith full runs in ebay after I bought many issues in orgiinal release) Some are not perfect (creases etc) shape but readable if you want em PM me and I will let you know exaclty which issues I have spares of

Did anybody pick up the short-lived 10-issue Justice Society of America that Mike Parobeck did in the '90's? Right after they came back from limbo? Or the 8-issue mini-series?

    Here's my JSA:
    The Atom
    Black Canary
    Dr. Mid-Nite
    The Flash
    Green Lantern
    Hawkman
    Hourman
    Sandman
    Starman
    Wildcat

Sorry, no room for magic - Dr. Fate, Johnny Thunder or The Spectre.
