I liked the new costume it still said Spiderman to me and I loved the movie.....new one is cool looks classic.

I don't think it speaks Romita but would agree with the sites opinion of a Bagley interpretation.
(the eyes anyway, Romita's black outlines were "heavier" and not so thin.) Never have liked any of the
Spider chest insignias used in any movies, I still wish they would use something similar to the ASM only a bit more
Faithful to the comics in its appearance. As an earlier poster stated it seemed more "homemade". Overall this is just the Raimi costume albeit with more "traditional" (sort of) eyes. Of course from what we can see anyway...

At least Sony was forced to sell their rights to the merchandise (due to their dire financial situation) so now Disney/Marvel have that back. I smell the movie rights going that way too if the rebooted franchise makes anymore stumbles.

I think it all depends on how she gets made up. It's amazing what they can do with a little makeup and eye shadow. But at least Sony has figured out the problem they had with the Spidey costume. They might actually sell movie figures again. Whether the last outfit worked for some or not, it definitely didn't translate into a likable looking action figure. It was a sloppy design for a toy and that's why they continue to warm the pegboards.

I liked the figures. I bought them all. Got the Hot Toys one pre-ordered too, and I still wanna get the bust.

I think Dunst was miscast somewhat, but with makeup and a more positive attitude and portrayal, she worked as the character more in the first film than either sequel. The writers didn't do her any favors, making MJ seem like a flakey, self-centered whiner.

And yes, we are now creepy old men. This girl probably wasn't even born when most of us graduated high school...

I never found Dunst right for the part, very pretty girl but I've always thought MJ was supposed to be a total knock out.

As for this new girl, I'm getting old cause she looks like a baby.
