    >Funny I was a Miller fan, but he's really just putting out crap these days, so sad.

I was never really impressed with Miller's stuff. Even books like "The Dark Knight Returns" seemed sorta... juvenile to me. I can't help but feel that the real problem with stuff like his new books is that Miller's now legendary and NOBODY would think to say no to the guy. We're now getting the sort of book he'd always wanted to make; but couldn't 'cos he had an editor breathing down his neck.

Books like AS(s) Batman seem to me to be solely pandering to the lowest common denominator...or maybe I've gotten too "mature" for so-called "mature".(And is that EVER MORE a misused term for arrested development comics like this?)

Funny I was a Miller fan, but he's really just putting out crap these days, so sad. I was never a Lee fan, but the best part of the book is the artwork.

It saddens me to think of what Miller will do to the Spirit ... I hope it's not a crappy Sin City (which was pretty stinky)!!!

Sorry. Never been a fan of Jim Lee's art, and Miller ought to be ashamed of himself for this utter dreck.

I'll pass...this is even worse than the so-called "Ultimates" books.

Still won't get me to buy the book again, no matter how good the "pin-up" art looks.

When I first heard of this Book...I thought GREAT...Lee & Miller...could it get better than that!??? I figured Miller would just pick up, where "Year One left off...maybe a couple's Year's later...when Robin comes in...PERFECT! Boy...I couldn't have been more WRONG! Miller had a great opportunity to re-tell some Classic Batman & Robin Storie's(or new Storie's)...like John Byrne did with X-Men:The Hidden Years! But He's TOTALLY BLOWN IT! I just wish DC would wise up...and Boot Him off the Book! Nah...it's too late...the damage is done...They need just to cancel it.

I find it hard to believe a writer would do bad writing on purpose. I think he never had it so he doesn't have much to lose IMO.

I'm not a fan of his work then or now so I guess I can't really be the one to compare this series to his older stuff.

This book is laughably bad, and I'm not by any means a Jim Lee guy either. When a new issue comes out the owner of my local comic shop and I go through it and make fun of it. It's horrible. the Black Canary issue was the worst comic Miller had ever done... and then #5 came out and buried it.

I for one thinks Miller HAS lost it.

Miller can still write, just not for DC. Since he took on DK2 and this series for DC, I get the feeling he's turing out total crap on purpose and laughing his *** off all the way to the bank.
My thoughts exactly. It's either that or Miller thinks he's too cool and hip now to stoop to treating these characters with any amount of respect. What really burns me is the All-Star line was originally supposed to be an entry level book for young readers. Clearly this is the LAST Batman book you should hand a young child. I'd give them DKR first.

Compare this to the classy yet innovative All-Star Superman and you can really see it for the turd it is. No amount of pretty art can make me buy this dreck. Bill Finger and Bob Kane should come haunt Miller at night for this.

Not a real fan of reading this book either.
I am more upset that Lee is trying to draw this book, & his Wildcat's relaunch at the same time. So, Both of these books are delayed months, & months after they are suppost to be out. I wish Lee would drop this crap & just go draw the Cats.. The first issue was great & I have been waiting 4or5 months for the second.

I have to agree with Dave. Miller is doing this on purpose to get back at DC. They keep feeding him money for this crap and he is enjoying himself. I also think that Hollywood has gone to his head.

He already stated that Ebony is not going to happen in the movie, because the character doesn't work today. Darwyn Cooke is proving Miller wrong on a monthly basis.

Well...Miller has already stated that it would be Dark & Violent in tone. But I don't know much about the Character...so I don't know if that would be staying true to it.

but what's hard....is watching Him take a Character You love...and destroy him!
