Whenever I "hear" The Batman in my head, it's usually Conroy's voice. He just has the timbre and the tone that so excellently conveys The Dark Knight.

Not me. I keep hearing him as his character from Office Space. Just glad Batman doesn't say "F***ing A".

Kevin Conroy is incredibly iconic now, but Bruce Greenwood actually did a great job recently voicing Batman in Red Hood.

Which brings me to The Brave and The Bold. Who is doing Batman's voice... and why?

I think that is completely spot-on man! Conroy can do the voice and we can still understand what he says unlike Christian Bale.

    just get this guy

and stop getting so worked up about Mark Hammil. I never get the fanboys that get so bent out of shape when someone other than Kevin Conroy or Mark get cast in these parts.

Curry was cast as the Joker in Warner Brothers' Batman: The Animated Series, and even recorded several episodes worth of dialogue. At the 1993 San Diego Comic-Con, Bruce Timm told a panel audience that Curry could not maintain the Joker voice for long, and would violently cough between takes, so he was replaced by Mark Hamill.
This might be why Hamill is retiring... It sounds like a tough voice on the vocal chords.

Think of the absolute level of utter COOLNESS that would have been had if Tim Curry had actually played The Joker in a Batman film!!!

Given the fact that this was the type of work Mark Hamill was doing between Star Wars and Batman, let's hope that isn't his aspirations at his age. He's very fortunate that lightning struck twice within his lifetime... Particularly since I think it was Tim Curry who was originally cast as the Joker in TAS.

perhaps he was scared of being typecasted
After all it must have been hard on him doing conventions and everyone saying WOW he's the voice of the Joker
I think he wants to be known for another role perhaps a role in a major motion picture
