Watched the extended B-R last weekend. Went in with low expectations, and was pleasantly surprised. Not a great movie, but certainly watchable and entertaining. I'd say it holds its own well with the year's other hero offerings, which also fall into the "pretty good" category for me.

>Even in the Movie, I think you can see Sinestro's Lust for Power, several times.
HIS NAME IS "SINESTRO" and he has a SNIDELY WHIPLASH MOUSTACHE! I think we know where this one's going. WHY would they hire this guy?!?!?
Guardian HR clerk: Name?
Sinestro: Sinestro.
Guardian HR clerk: Any last name?
Sinestro: McEvilguy
Guardian HR clerk: Okay, you're in.

Sales are brisk! Here's a common site all over Louisville and southern Indiana. Entire displays wiped out. I would say there were alot of people who wanted to give this a chance once it hit DVD.

I want that display case!! That is so cool!!
And it's nice to see it sold out. I thought the film was awesome (no matter what people say!) and the extended cut sounds like it'll be even better!

Those sound awesome! I love seeing movies unedited (how the director wants it in the first place) but are the deleted scenes only on the extended cut? I have the 2-disc version (Steelbook) and those scenes aren't included in any of the menus or disks. I'm very confused with that. There's several uncompleted deleted scenes that might have alleviated some of the choppiness the film suffers. There's a scene with Hal pleading with Sinestro and Tomar Re, that's a very Hal-type of scene, but Reynolds really looks like a whipped puppy in it. Maybe he found out that Scarlet Johanson dumped him that day.
While the scene is a good one, it's long and with the way Reynolds looked I see why the choice was made to ax it, but it's well written and gives more context why the Corps didn't help out with Paralax on Earth.
There's also a scene with Hal's family where he saves his nephew from a Paralax attack, that I liked, but again it's long.

I broke down and picked it up on Blue Ray today. I was going to wait till Christmas...
I'm glad they added the extra scenes and after watching some of the deleted ones, I wish those were in there too. Some of them anyway.Leave a comment:

I don't really think you need to be a Rocket Scientist to understand Why Sinestro wanted the Yellow ring in the Movie ...., It is what it is ..., He thinks the Ring will make him More Powerful. Even in the Movie, I think you can see Sinestro's Lust for Power, several times.Leave a comment:

No. I guess they figure they can get to his motivation for the sequel...if it ever happens.Did anything in the Extended Cut clarify/explain Sinestro's choice to take the yellow ring?
