I am race/color blind Utraman....Giant Robot..give it to me. Make a good movie and I'm all over it. Captain America has nothing to do with USA vs the world. I consider him part of the allied forces that faced the Axis during WWII and don't even think in terms of his name. If it was Captain Mexico, Captain England, Captain Poland...I wouldn't care...

I think this is a big part of the reason they are staying faithful to his World War II origins. I really look forward to seeing how he gets transported to a modern world.

Let's not make this a 4 Americans only thread...there are members from around the world who post here...let's not alienate them.

There are heroes not only in America...but around the world as well.

In order for it to be a blockbuster...not only does it have to make lots of money in the USA...but it also needs the help of foreign movie ticket sales too.

Captain America is not only an American soldier...but he's also a member of the Allied forces.

I'm for humanity as a whole...Earth unite for the betterment of humankind.

Having said that...yes...I'm looking forward to this movie.

Looking forward to Cap, everything I have seen so far looks great. The have nailed the Red Skulls look. I can't wait to hear the Red Skull say 'Mr Rodgers (in his best Agent Smith accent )

I am hoping they do this right. If they keep true to the story, 1940's setting, WWII....this will be the breakout movie that will get everyone stoked again.

The Rocketeer is one of the greatest superhero movies ever made (top 10 no doubt) and considering in the time it was made makes it even more remarkable.

When I knew Joe Johnston was directing I knew this movie will be GOLD!!! I'll say this again. Captain America will be THE or in the top 3 of the greatest superhero movies ever made.

First review of Captain America...sounds awesome!

Movie reviewer Dave Rabbit has posted his review over at Marvelousnews.com.

Without giving anything away, he loved it! He says despite his initial concerns, Chris Evans totally pulls it off as Steve Rogers, and true to Marvel fashion, the emphasis is on the MAN, not the POWERS, as that is what makes him the hero.

He also says that the movie is stylistically very similar to the Rocketeer, also directed by Joe Johnston, and that fans of that film will also love Cap.

My finger and toes are crossed. The new trailers look fantastic. Personally I've enjoyed this summer. When we were kids, who would have thought we would some day be sitting in theaters watching movies about Thor, the X-men, Green Lantern, and Captain America all in the course of two months? It's the golden years my friends. Soak it up while they are here.
