Yes...I'm so glad Morrison brought back Bat-Mite.

One man's "killing" is another revitalizing. Before Morrison I had a smattering of Batman issues. I have all of Morrison's Bat-run. I love the take, love the humor, love how Morrison has mixed crazy 50's continuity into the mix. It's been a blast.

Call me a grumpy old man, but I'll keep ranting as long as DC keeps allowing Morrison to destroy a character with a 70 year legacy that deserves better. At least Miller mauled Batman outside of his regular titles!!!

Where's the Ghost of Julie Schwartz when you need him? Or better yet, Denny O'Neil....
And Dick Giordano! Oh where are you, Dick when we need you? He knew how to reinvigorate a line without throwing out the baby with the bath water!

The Bat-books have stunk since Denny left though. I didn't agree with everything he did, and the books got a little too event-happy later, but it was gold compared to the last 10 years or so.

I'm Glad Damien is still around. Now they can kill him off. That character has outlived his usefulness. He irritates the crud out of me. I Love Grayson...but he is too happy to be BATMAN....back to Nightwing for him....he's a great NIGHTWING.

Exactly, Year One was a FOUR ISSUE SERIES. A good one, but still just four issues. And the last time Miller did anything meaningful with the character. It did manage to suck all the fun out of Batman comics and made them all gloom and doom, grim and gritty predictable.

I know my opinion is in the minority, but I'm just not a big Morrison fan. He's done some good stuff, but I think it's mainly high concepts over solid writing. Maybe I'm just too obtuse to get all of the concepts.
