I finally got to see it. I thought it was great. Every time Magneto was on the screen it was excellent. I thought it moved along nicely.

Its was better than I thought, but without the novelty factor of Thor, it was still kind of meh.

We saw it over the weekend at the Drive-In and the whole family loved it. My wife stayed awake for the whole thing and she rarely does for that later second movie, so that's a pretty good endorsement.

I wish X-Men:First Class was doing better at the box office, but they have made back there money already. It cost 160 million to make...and the Worldwide Total is $221,346,918

I think the problem is the same problem that Batman:Begins had...it has win back the audience from the last two versions that were soooooo BAD!
But like a lot of movies, good word of mouth can change things. Plus, once it hits DVD more people will watch it that wouldn't have gone to see it at the theater. DVD rentals & sales are actually a bigger market than the theater now...as we all own giant HD-TV's with surround sound systems.

I think it negates Wolverine Origins actually. Due to the White Queen's involvement in both films. Which is fine. Wolverine was a terrible terrible movie.

It doesn't negate the first 1 for sure because they straight up used some elements from X1.

Just saw this today. Very well executed. A few things are left unresolved, but overall a fairly gripping story. I especially liked the uncredited cameo. I do not remember seeing Stan Lee in this. Usually his appearance lasts a few seconds. Magneto is truly a badass of epic proportions. This story obviously erases X-3 out of continuity, but that's a good thing.

I was extremely impressed and so was Sandy. I figured she'd be bored, but after the first 30 minutes or so, this film grabs you.

For one thing...both Ryan Reynolds and Chris Evans...are not worthy of washing James McAvoy's and Michael Fassbender's combined jockstraps...

Saw it first last weekend, then again this past weekend. I enjoyed this movie much more so than I did The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Thor, X-2, X-3, Daredevil & Wolverine. Yes, there are deviations from what played out in the comics (if this is a big issue for you, I recommend sitting this one out). It's rare that sequels improve upon or surpass their predecessors, but I believe this is one of the very few exceptions.

Fassbender was an excellent choice for the role of Magneto. He brought diminsion & nuances to the character that have been glossed over or entirely over looked in previous installments. Because of this performance, Magneto has become my favorite movie-portrayed X-men character. My only complaints of this movie would be (a) the character of Angel, (b) the casting of Bacon, (c) the casting for Riptide. Minute objections for an otherwise excellent film.

I thought it was a great movie. I loved it. I didn't think it was slow at all. I don't mind when the movie or tv show is different as what can be done in comics doesn't always work for the tv or movies for lots of reasons. I can't wait to see the next movie. This is the only x movie that I really liked, the rest were OK IMO but nearly as good as this one.

I guess I am in the minority but I didn't like it at all. The only things I enjoys was a brief cameo, and the acting by Magneto and Prof X. I though the story was garbage and they couldn't even stay in the lines of there own movies let alone comic history. I also thought the effects were WAY sub par. I guess to each there own, but this one was a huge miss for me.

Finally got around to seeing this yesterday. It was an excellent film from beginning to end, and the cast was fantastic. I agree that it is the best in the series thus far. These Marvel and DC movies are the only sure bet these days that you won't leave the theater disappointed.
