I'm not up on my Spidey history but did the Iron Spider outfit generate this much buzz or was that outfit for something specific? Just wondering. All I know about that one is Tony made it for him when he joined the Avengers.

Spidey has been dead to me pretty much since right before the clone saga of the 90s. Stracynski put the final nails in the coffin. It's a shame too, because before the 90s, there seemed to be a fairly consistent narrative in all Spidey stories from AF #15 on.

I like it. What's the big deal?

Curious why it lights up, and it seems not much different from the black suit.

Its amazing how companies spend so much money on licensing of a character, only to then take him apart and rebuild him to look like nothing anyone recognizes.

    Disney boardroom meeting...

    "Hey, we own Spider-man!"
    "Hey, we own Tron!"

"I know...how about SPIDER-TRON?! Genius, right? Now all we gotta do is change his name to Tron-tula!"

    "The shareholders will LOVE it!"

Between Misney and the new DC Entertainment being driven out of Burbank, expect ALL DC and Marvel properties to become increasingly toyetic.

The least you can say about Iron Spiderman and this new high tech Spiderman is that there is some story sense that was made of them in the comics before they were exploited in the cross horizontal multimedia platforms.

I can't say the same about Web Splashers Spiderman, but even that one I understand the success and popularity of toys that kids can play with in the tub.

It actually seems to be a return to the Spiderman Unlimited cartoon's costume concept.
