I'm going through a phase where I'm pretty indifferent to most Superhero comics lately, but Hickman's Fantastic Four and SHIELD are the two books at Marvel that get me excited.
He's been injecting some interesting concepts over the last year or so that look like they are going to start paying off in the next few issues. I'm actually finding all the kids running around the title much more compelling than the core four FF.
Anyone reading SHIELD? Some fun wacky stuff. Galileo facing off against Galactus, and a Time Travelling Leonardo Da Vinci complete with winged flying rig.

Even though it's been pretty decent since Mark Millar jump started things a few years back, Fantastic Four is no longer "The World's Greatest Comic Magazine". Last time it was worthy of that moniker was probably during the Byrne era.Leave a comment:

I guess the skrull who impersonated sue was killed,it's just too bad the real sue will be gone for a while because of it.
I don't like a lot of current marvel stuff and that is just a shame.

I am getting tired of these "big" death of a majopr character storylines. you know they are always back in a year or 2. it's old hat at this pointLeave a comment:

Does this mean my Fantastic Four subscription transfers to Fantastic Three?

Sentry's worth checking out if you want to invest in a half decades worth of Bendis Avengers titles, otherwise I'd skip it since his storyline is finished now anyways.
Probably not worth jumping into all the convoluted Hulk stuff given the fact that there are 11 million Hulks in multiple colors running around these days in the various Marvel Universes. Including an Ultimate Hulk based on Mr T (no joke).
Hulk alone has about a dozen illegitimate kids, and every supporting cast member has now been Hulked up via Gamma/Cosmic Rays, including Rick, Betty, General Ross, Marlo, Glen Talbot, Doc Samson, Deadpool, The Fantastic Four, Spiderman, Willy Lumpkin, Irving Forbush, Royal Roy, and Rocket Raccoon.Leave a comment:

Sentry - oh wow, I just googled him. Seems like some crazy historical revisionism going on. I had no clue.
Banner Jr.? Okay, I have a lot of catching up on what's going on in Marvel before commenting on these threads I guess!Leave a comment:

That's Banner Jr of Nu Earth/Fantastic Force. Millar wrote a 12 issue Wolverine arc called Old Man Logan set in the future where he slaughters an entire clan of redneck Hulks led by Bruce Banner, sparing only one baby Hulk whom Logan raises as his own son. They travel back to present day along with the rest of the "Fantastic Force" where they encounter the FF (and Doom) and have settled on Nu Earth (which is the new Counter Earth orbiting on the other side of the sun from regular earth).Leave a comment:

Franklin and the little girl seem less bummed than everyone else. They are smart enough to know Mommy will be back in less than a year.
