What's with the no-love for Josie and the Pussycats? How can you not like a show about 3 chicks in a rock band that wear long tails and ears for hats? And that theme song is just too awesome IMO!

This is kinda hard but I would have to say 70 to 80% of the toons that has been made in the 2000's. I'm a child of the 80's and the tripe that I'm seeing on TV nowadays is mind warping. Flapjack? Total Reality Island? I guess attention to detail is a bad thing now

Nah; there was a "Baby Loony Tunes" show a few years ago. It dies a quick, merciful death. It was one of the few times I've seen reviews LAMENT the LOW level of violence in a cartoon. Seriously. Y'know when you see a parody of the edutainmental, watered-down pap kinda show in another cartoon? It looked like that.

And there are some not on the list, like "Bailey's Comets" that are so weird it counters the cruddiness.

Speedbuggy was awesome and so was Pebbles & Bamm-Bamm. Shleprock was hilarious.

Wacky Races was mindless fun and spawned several spinoffs.

Man! Scooby-Doo was a Saturday morning institution! He was on for the better part of 20 years in one form or another and still popular today...FORTY years later!
I will admit that the first few seasons were the best.

I love Courageous Cat but the quality is nowhere as good as the HB 60s/70s stuff. Very repetitive formula. "Scooby Doo, Where Are You?" still holds up as a classic. True each subsequent version was more watered down than the previous ones, but those 1st 2 seasons still hold up, as do the "Scooby Doo Movies" IMO.

Courageous Cat wasn't all THAT bad. Not compared to the horror that is 'The Magilla Gorilla Show'.

People hated Scrappy, who, it must be admitted needed the doggy version of Ritalin and anger management therapy. But Scooby himself was the FUGLIEST dog in all of cartoondom.

Astro Jetson was a more likable dog. At least he wasn't a coward, only in it for a box of Scooby Snacks.

Astro once bit a TV producer in the butt when he thought that the guy was a threat to the family.

When he was taken away by his original owner, he used to chase the old codger on his estate, and go straight for his butt.

I can't even remember if Scooby ever growled at anyone, let alone bit them.

Courageous Cat better than Scooby and Magilla?? wow. THe HB 60's and real early 70's stuff still holds up well.

wasn't Courageous Cat created by Bob "Batman" Kane? thus the similarity to the character.

It's recently been unearthed that Sheldon Moldoff, Kane's chief Batman "ghost" of the time did most of the work on that show. Imagine that, Kane taking credit for other's work!

Although I have a great affection for them, many of the Super Friends episodes are horrible. I know A lot of that had to do with standards and practices, but Filmation did a much better job with adventure cartoons in the 1970s in my opinion. Tarzan, Flash Gordon, Batman and Lone Ranger all hold up a bit better today.

I can't believe no one's mentioned Courageous Cat and Minute Mouse yet. I remember one of the Nashville stations used to run the Bozo Show back in the late 70's, and they usually aired one of those horrid cartoons .
