Superman & Lois series five (the final series/2024-25)

Episode five was on tonight, I have watched the first four so far and it is pretty damn good and If this is the last vestige of the Arrowverse, then the Arrowverse is going out with a BANG!!!

The fights between Doomsday & Kal-El were kick ***!!! The drama with Lois and the kids is expected and welcomed at this point!!

This version of Luthor is very cut throat and I am looking to see how this all pans out in the end.

    Well done!

I agree with everything you said!

I do like Michael Cudlitz take on Luthor. Really tough and cool.

ONLY TWO Episodes left after this weeks (Nov 18th) Last week's episode

"A Regular Guy" was amazing. It had the' INTERVIEW, that the entire planet has been waiting for and they pulled it off incredibly!!

And "When the lights come on" from two weeks ago had Lex and CLARK go at it SKIN ON SKIN right in the streets and I do MEAN: CLARK!! NOT Supes!!!

About to watch "Sharp Dressed Man" and see what happens next in the last three episodes

Tyler Hoechlin, HAS Ascended to the heights of George & Christopher Reeves!! Incredible.

It would be nice (for me) if they would bring Tyler in for the occasional short, done in the lighter tone of the "Fleischer" scene in the first episode. I think he has been a great steward of the character, the show was well done and when they did "awe and wonder" scenes they absolutely nailed it! Still, things got intense at times and there was a little too much of an underlying sense of dread danger for my taste. I had to tap out after a while. That's okay, I catch the fun parts on Youtube eventually!

May have to watch the finale regardless. Hoping this cast goes out on a high note! They deserve it. Thanks for the updates, Jorge!

My family and I are really going to miss this series. Just got caught up for the finale. I think they handled the reveal in the best way possible, and it actually made sense. Since the series is ending soon, it doesn't bother me like when they jettisoned it in the comics.

I think I KINDA know where they are going with all of this, but honestly, I have no idea how they will get there. I just want Michael Cudlitz's excellent but very aggravating Lex to get his comeuppance once and for all. He is by far the most dangreous and honestly scary Lex Luthor ever put to film.

I would like to see the cast continue in some format, but I doubt very seriously they will. DC Studios is wanting to forge ahead with their own iteration, which along with the buy-out and demise of what the CW once was, is definitely the reason this show isn't continuing. At least they got time to wrap things up well.

Next Monday the CW/DC/Arrowverse will finally end. It's amazing to think how many hours of entertainment these creators produced. I honestly tapped out on most of the shows other than Superman and Lois before they ended, only following it and Stargirl from start to end. But my family and I had some good times watching them together.

I have been with the CW from Smallville to Superman and Lois and enjoyed it for the most part. I have the DVD's of them all including the foreign crossover episodes. Smallville keep trying to spinoff into other series, but they just couldn't. Then the DCTV got started and keep going. From what I gathered it was there most popular shows, I know I tuned in every night and would tweet fact about every show. There were some mistakes made.

              DCTV 1.jpg

*They cast the wrong actress for Batwoman and replaced her with the right one too late.
*Legends began to go astray with too many adventures out of costume. Did love the fact that when they included Constantine that season wrapped up, he's series.
*Flash was very good but changed to origins of the villains and that became confusing.
*Green Arrow was fun, but he married the wrong woman. Also let's face it, it was Batman and one season even had his own Outsiders team.
*Stargirl ended way too early but that was due to the sale of CW and ending the HBO original programs. The next season would have more of Jay Garrick The Flash.
*Black Lighting was a fun family show that I really enjoyed.
*Supergirl was a show that changed her origins but finally began to work as a good show. Yeah, they dropped some stories without explaining what happened but still worked out.
              * The cartoon series The Ray & Vixen helped flush out the universe and worked.
*I loved what they did with the Crisis on Infinite Earths showcasing all the DC TV/Movie universes including Lucifer and Constantine.
*Really liked all the comic book guest stars that popped up in every series.

In a way it is a good this the DCTV is ending because I have been spending time with BF watching Asian TV shows at night and he likes that better.

This was so great to see the Superman Family shot, even for a few seconds.

What a touching ending. Pretty bold of them too, despite having nothing to lose, really. The climax to the battle from the previous episode was a bit rushed, but it was worth it to get to the good emotional, character-driven stuff. And little Easter Eggs like the image above.

I enjoyed it. Was wondering, was this ending based on a comic or novel? Or just original to this show?

                        I cried.

" I ended up living for another 32 years."

                        Krypto? Really??

Truth, Justice and a Better Tomorrow. (God knows we all need it!!)

There were rumours of KARA (Melissa Benoit) appearing, but it didn't happen.

Glad Luthor got what he DESERVES!!!

Lana, John and everyone else seemed to get their place in the sun and an proper end to their stories.

Dvd release date? But I will be a first day buyer!!

a very proper end to the Arrowverse. well done.

Maybe? Maybe not? Everyone and their mother was CRYING Racism, Homophobia and whatnot when this show got cancelled. But you really wanna know why this show got cancelled?

KARMA. If you look at ANY episode from either season(SERIES), in the opening credits...

You will see: BATWOMAN Created by BOB KANE.

That is Horse**** Kathy kane/Batwoman WAS CREATED by EDMOND HAMILTON (Writer) and SHELDON "SHELLY" MOLDOFF (Penciller) Bob had DEKE in regards to the creation of Batwoman, Bat-Girl (Bette Kane), Ace the Bat Hound and BAT-MITE!! So the show got cancelled cause the "Houses of the Holy" were disrespected. And I who has known and worked with SHELLY since 1999, was not happy with this lack of respect and justice has been dispensed.

Legends LOST the HAWKS after series one, and in time it went from being a team show to a long and drawn out soap opera with NO LEGENDS! Once Firestorm and the doc left, who was left? Capt cold was long gone and forget Heatwave, he lost the plot a LOOONG time ago! Legends of tomorrow? More like the DREGS of tomorrow. the "ISIS" chick didn't become ISIS, so they F'KD that up and it was just a bloody mess. That GARY guy was the worst!!!!

*Flash was very good but changed to origins of the villains and that became confusing.
                          -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
                          "sigh"

This show had its ups and downs. VIBE. Really VIBE, bad. CHUNK. Chester whatshisname didn't weigh 5000 LBS. So they messed that up. There were TOOO MANY PEOPLE ON this show and it should have been ONLY Barry and Iris. Was it series FOUR, where it was the THINKER as the villain for the WHOLE GODDAMN Series??? My god, Why couldn't they shake it up a bit and give it some variety like they did for most of the series. It was like "FRIENDS MEETS the BLUNDERTWINS" UGH!!!

*Green Arrow was fun, but he married the wrong woman. Also let's face it, it was Batman and one season even had his own Outsiders team.
                          -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NEVER watched it, not ONE Episode. Some of my coworkers told me about it, apparently they told me Green Arrow ended up KILLING People. So that is a NONO for me.

*Stargirl ended way too early but that was due to the sale of CW and ending the HBO original programs. The next season would have more of Jay Garrick The Flash.
                          -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Loved STARGIRL for very personal reasons and the JSA appearing was just magic!! Geoff had an "Idea" for a prospective series FOUR, but alas it didn't happen. He told HIS Story in three seasons/series.

*Black Lighting was a fun family show that I really enjoyed.
                          -----------------------------------------------------
ummm it was a very HARDCORE. I LOVED IT, Cress Williams killed it! He was brilliant and i have yet to watch series four. I have it here on dvd, but haven't had the time to watch it.
The whole TOBIAS WHALE plots were sadistic. If you count "Fun family" as the relationship between the Pierce family. Otherwise some of the plots and stories were very hardcore. Sexual abuse, bullying, racism, war, genocide, Inhumane experiments on humans! and also it didn't help when showrunner: Salim Akil , got sued for sexual harassment. This is a show I could have watched forever.

*Supergirl was a show that changed her origins but finally began to work as a good show. Yeah, they dropped some stories without explaining what happened but still worked out.
                          --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
again this was a show that had TOOO Many people. You should have had Kara, Jimmy Olson, and Kat. Otherwise this show kicked *** and I enjoyed it very much. Melissa Benoit IS Supergirl. Brilliant.

                          * The cartoon series The Ray & Vixen helped flush out the universe and worked.
                          ------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have these on dvd at home and whats great is I ONLY paid $1.00 a piece for them as I bought them at the Dollor.25 cent store! And like Black Lightning series four, I have yet to watch them.

*I loved what they did with the Crisis on Infinite Earths showcasing all the DC TV/Movie universes including Lucifer and Constantine.
*Really liked all the comic book guest stars that popped up in every series.

How could you have a CRISIS when you DON'T have ANY GREEN LANTERNS!!??? And where were hawkman and Hawkgirl or was she HawkWoman????
And where was LYNDA CARTER????? YOu had Burt Ward, and god know who else, (I forgot so sue me!!). The one thing that sticks out from this ArC was the comments between KARA and ZOOM.

Kara: If you hurt me my COUSIN will come after you

ZOOM: I FOUGHT you're Cousin in the FUTURE.

Whether that was a lead up to a arc on Supergirl or Superman & Lois or Flash even? I dunno. But they had a chance to do so much and YES! I understand they had only so much money in their budget, but still, they could have been more creative.

And that is my assessment of the arrowverse. Good, Bad, it was there and I know in the years to come their will be conversations and debates on ALL these shows and I for one look forward to it.
