Adam West and his other times playing Batman (and related roles)

To celebrate the date of Adam West's birth, I wrote an article for 13th Dimension covering the other times West played Batman beyond the 60s TV series and film, and roles related to the Caped Crusader. Give it a read!

A BIRTHDAY TRIBUTE: The show ended but the actor kept returning to the Batcave — and became a national treasure…

Another great article, Chris, which jogged my memories of West's performances. I loved that Zorro episode.

LOTSH & roast are a mess, but fun ones. I saw them first-run. I'll always have a soft spot for Ruth Buzzi's Aunt Minerva and especially Howard Morris' Dr. Sivana. Huntress did look great!
WANTED: Dick Grayson SI trousers; gray AJ Mustang horse; vintage RC Batman (Bruce Wayne) head; minty Wolfman tights; mint Black Knight sword; minty Launcelot boots; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula & Mummy heads; Lion Rock Franky squared boots; Wayne Foundation blue furniture; Flash Gordon/Ming (10") unbroken holsters; CHiPs gloved arms; POTA T2 tan body; CTVT/vintage Friar Tuck robes, BBP TZ Burgess Meredith glasses.

I like this list and surprised me by listing one I did not know about (fan film).

I would have included the Family Feud of Batman 66 vs Gilligan's Island.

I saw them too, but at one point convinced myself I had dreamed them up! Then I saw a picture in a late 80s Comics Scene Magazine!

Buzzi and Morriss were definite highlights for me too. As an Andy Griffith guy, I'm alwasy happy to see Morris in anything.

Yeah, I didn't know about the DAVE School Mini-Mate film either. As for Family Feud, I was trying to keep it to acting roles, even when he was playing a version of himself. I guess you can argue he kind of did that on Family Feud too, though.

I still love the Legends of Super-Heroes show.

After talking with Frank during a convention it seems this was based on the JLA/JSA teamups. I watched this when it first came on TV. At the time I was enjoying the reruns of the Batman 66. I was confused as to why it didn't follow the TV show. Many years later I attended my first Star Trek convention in the 90's. A dealer had Legends & SWHS on VHS and I bought them. When on base a groups of us pulled a double feature and watched them

Over the years I keep upgrading them till I got great quality.

I have the VHS, I never upgraded. Didn't Warner Archives do a release?

In the final season of Animaniacs, they have the episode "The Boo Wonder," with West voicing "the Dark Knight," who continually denies his sidekick is a chicken.

Wanted: Legends of the West (Empire & Excel) and other western historically-based figures. Send me an offer.
Also interested in figures based on literary characters.

IT was the 77 NEW Adventures of.. . That introduced me to BAT-MITE, and I was hooked ever since! I would have enjoyed asking Mr. West what he thought of the experience.
