See...I don't like the same actor playing two different superheroes...I find that idea annoying...perfect example, Halle Berry as both Storm and Catwoman.

Another one...Ryan Reynolds is set to play both Green Lantern and Deathpool...bleh...

I would like to see a true MAD scientist Luthor (maybe played by the guy who was imotep in the mummy) that would play into merchandising and to distnace him from the fat businessman wilson fisk luthor of the 80's and the gene hackman con artist luthor of the reeve films. or a 50's style Brainiac

it's hard to think of a cast that will actually work. Eric Bana or Tom Jane could look like asuperman but have proven they really can't act with the chops to make it work

^^^ Yeah I am hoping that the DC writers involved are doing the script work for characters that they have a good handle on. Read All Star Superman and the Superman Beyond books to see how Superman should be handled.

Rumor has it the Wachowski bro....er...siblings are interested in at least producing, with the director of Ninja Assassin wanting to direct (or Warners is considering him). After Speed Racer, I'm not sure I want the Wachowskis near any licensed properties.

Supposedly Morrison is involved in the DC movies (along with Geoff Johns and Marv Wolfman) , maybe he can revive his pal Mark Millar's Superman script. It was supposedly much more action-packed, and sequel-free.

I agree...it could be a BIG Cosmic Space drama(like Green Lantern)...with massive Battles!! Superman is not Batman...it would be nice to take him out of the City...and put him in a Totally different environment!

I would like to see them adopt the Fleischer theme (which Williams touched on a bit with his classic work.) Its a great piece of music!!

I really like the Darkseid idea. You could go with an older Superman then...been around for a while, and running out of challenging enemies..You could even start the movie with him stopping (somewhat easily) one of his lesser foes (Toyman?) latest schemes. Supes is bored. Then up pops the boys from Apokolips hell bent on taking over the planet. Of course the only guy who can stop them is Ma and Pa El's little boy, Superman!
