We don't talk much about alternative or indie comics here, but I had a great experience on Saturday that I wanted to share.
I went to the Cowtown Alternative Comics Festival (downtown Denver). Met some of the local alternative comics creators. And, bought what might be the most beautiful comic that I've ever seen.
Jeff Benham is an artist from Albuquerque, NM. He's involved with a group called 7000BC (7000bc.org). They had a table at the fest and I was able to see some of Jeff's work and purchase Forever Now. Forever Now is a Hindu creation story set in comic form. I can't remember having seen a comic so lovingly put together. I would scan some pages, but scans wouldn't do the book justice. Some pages are printed in such a way that the page seems translucent.
