Guess Who's Metallo on Smallville Next Season?

can't be any worse than the Metallo they had in Lois and clarkThose were some of the first Superman issues I ever read as a wee lad, and I recently went back and picked them up (with the Neal Adams cover!), and for me the original Metallo still holds up much better than the Byrne Terminator revamp. Here is hoping that we do get some intrigue on Smallville with Metallo infiltrating Clark's life and more nods to the character's more clandestine beginnings.
Also this is the season where they are finally promising ZOD. It will be interesting to see where they go with that. I have to admit I would love to see some of the Firefly guys filling out those roles. Nathan Fillion as Zod (he was really good as the season 7 bad guy on Buffy), Adam Baldwin as Non, and heck, since we're casting Terminator leftovers anyways... Summer Glau as Ursa.Leave a comment:

I guiltily admit I love that '70s look on Metallo.
Smallville is very uneven, but I'm glad I've stuck with it--they always throw something interesting into the mix for us fanboys.Leave a comment:

I still have a hard time buying this guy as a stud/action hero.....

Ironic that he is now playing a Terminator-like character. At least the Post-Crisis version.
I doubt we'll see him in a metal mask and hip-waders.Leave a comment:

I like the show, always have. but didn't they already have metallo show up in an episode? I might have to go check the DVD's. I like Brian Green though. He is a pretty good actor and showed in Terminator he can play a badassLeave a comment:

Guess we'll never know if he really died in Terminator:the sarah Connor Chronicles now either since that got canceled. He was good in that.

Yet, I occasionally read articles (for the past several years) that suggest that the last scene of the last episode (whatever season it is) will be Tom in the suit for the first time, with a quick, UP UP & Away type of moment ... followed by a fade to black...
Time will tell, I suppose...Leave a comment:

That "no tights thing" has to be an afterthought because the show was not supposed to get the point where that might have to come into play. I bet when he signed up for the role, there was no way he was thinking it could go on for this long.Leave a comment:

I hear he's grown up to be a decent actor, so I don't have a problem with it.
I'll give Smallville a try again, but after last season's horrible ender, I'm not nearly as enthused as I used to be.
